Morning Shiny people.

Finally picked up my Black Friday sale order. The online store claimed they lost the order (ya right!!) so there was a delay. At least it was not stuck in postal purgatory with some dude shaking the package to .... wondering if it will make a good X-mass present for his delinquent step child. So few more Profile rda’s to add to my collection and another GV Legend in Azune to keep my other company. It will be a day of mesh building and trimming large wads of cotton (wicking the Profile makes me think of Afro Man’s barber…)

So i have a question. . Im wondering about getting a new tank that takes drop-ins.

Restricted Lung or or full open kayfun 5, or the hastur with the 2.5mm airflow insert (I believe)..

I don't vape much these days so it will sit, unused, with a full tank much of the time.. atm I'm filling a tank every two weeks, and then only because it's gotten half empty.. but I like having it to pick up when I would like.

Are there any new suggestions or should I just go for the OG Crown?
I keep a zenith (.8 or 1.6 coil) with menthol in the tank drawer. I pull it out infrequently for stuffy nose or palate clearing. Brought it on this trip with me and it’s fine. Coil runs as expected/usual.

Ups doesn’t seem to be able to process that idea. Today she posted the bill they sent. $36.83 for import fees. Maybe an “importer” can’t deny acceptance of a package like a customer?
Whatever, I never win any of the contests, so it won’t affect me. I just don’t like things that don’t add up
I'm kinda late to the game, and might have missed something while post diving, but this is my :2c:

If the shipper used a private courier like UPS or FedEx, they will add their own brokerage fees to the import shipments. If you use a service that enters into the USPS mail system, the USPS handles the import process and is less likely to charge any extra fees for the mail service. Any import shipment has the potential to incur duty charges based upon the value of the items in the shipment, but those are separate from the "Broker" charges assessed by the shipping company that processes the entry.

I think the US winner is getting hit with the charges assessed by the private courier, and is probably going to have to choose between abandoning her prize or paying for the pleasure of doing business with the private courier.

The moral of the story is, whenever possible, try to ship by mail service if you are sending/exporting something to a person in the US so that the US mail handles the delivery to the person/importer. We are a bit spoiled in the US because we rarely get charged extra for receiving packages in the mail. Folks in other countries can, and do get charged even by their mail service if we send something to someone outside the US.

Failed because they wanted my social or ID complete the purchase.

Never heard of an online retailer asking for social security and or ID. DO NOT ever provide this online unless you are looking forward to a world of hurt and grief!

Smart move not going through with the purchase.

I chose the ss. It’s only the last 4 digits so pretty safe.

Not trying to scare you, and despite the below story is fairly old, it does demonstrate how easy it is to social engineer into someone’s digital life with minimal information. Please be very careful and selective on what you provide as information on the internet. Outside my name, address and credit card, which I fully understand its policies in regards to online risks, I would never provide my SIN # or other identification such as my Drivers License.

It's a requirement in the US for vendors to verify age for online sales. This can be done by third party companies or I'd it's a small vendor, themselves. Almost all require a partial SS number or photo of your photo ID like your drivers license to meet that requirement. If they are audited by the FDA and fail to have a record of verification they'll be in a world of hurt.

Some verification services can do it relying on things like your address alone if they find you. But if you've recently moved they may need the additional information. That is only going to get tighter with new FDA attempts to eliminate underage sales. If you order in the US and have it delivered within the US you can expect routine verification. I'd consider a vendor sketchy if they didn't have some method to verify age.

And good afternoon shiners! I slept in and got lazy today. Must be my ruminations on when the Drone will become available.

Morning shinies :)

@Opinionated - I'm in the same airflow/draw bracket. Got a vaporesso NRG se tank as part of a mod kit. The ceramic gt core ccell 0.5 ohm coil that comes with it is pretty good for flavour.

Not sure on its longevity yet tho ;)
Can you leave it full for several days without use and it not get leaky? She only vapes once or twice a week.

Interesting. I did not know that – but why would I being on this side of your border. Part of my profession involves vulnerability management which also includes cyber security (at an enterprise level). Identity theft is a huge concern which is usually performed through social engineering. If providing identification is a requirement, please be diligent and ensure you are on a secure connection. Thx for the post.

@Fiestylillady @Heartsdelight - my earlier post was made in sincerity and not to put a scare into you. As mentioned, I did not know this was a requirement. Just looking out for fellow shiners
