I’ve JUST discovered RDTAs and I couldn’t be happier!! The flavor of dripping without having to use a squonk so I can change up my flavors all day!

Just received the Avocado 24 and Limitless RDTAs and I plan on buying more as well.

Kinda wish I hadn’t found out about them though .... rabbit hole  !!
We're all rabbits on this bus! Ain't it fun?

7 Best RDTAs for Performance and Convenience [2018]

I think what has confused me is the Steam Crave RDTA which was one of the the 1st RBAs I bought almost a year ago. I was assuming that all RDTAs were like that- RTAs that you could take the tank off and use as an RDA. I honestly didn’t see the point for me. I just ended up buying a plethora of RDAs since that’s my preferred style of vaping atm.

I had seen talk of Genisis “styled” evolved atties with the tanks below the build deck but didn’t realize these were actually RDTAs also.

Not sure how or why it took me so long to figure it out. Although it doesn’t help that there seems to be some squabbling over which subforum RDTAs should be mentioned in and it’s not the Genisis subforum :w00t: Since it’s not technically a Gennie attie.

But I’ve seen them mentioned in the Genesis and RTA and RDA subforums lol!

Seriously not sure which subforum this should go into but since it’s a new shiny I’ll post it here.

Geek Vape Avecado 24 4ml bottom flow air flow. Not to be confused with the 5ml top airflow Avecado.

Fantastic flavor! Yum!! Built as a single coil (ss 316l .6 ohms) using the included ceramic block & air flow thingy. Super easy to build on the large deck. So far wicking seems to be spot on with it just barely reaching into the tank. Air flow is very DL airy wide open but extremely restricted when closed down a bit.

Any post that features a raw minikin 2 AND an SL class belongs in the shiny thread :wub::wub:

I got vapemail today, some geekvape ss316L.

I ordered 26 gauge as to get a 0.5ohm or below coil with 28 gauge, the wraps were down to 4 or 5 which were tiny coils.

Apart from being able to do 7 or 8 wrap coils with 26 gauge, is there a difference in what wattage works best for it?

The higher the mass the more ramp is needed. Won't be much, iirc when I switched to clapton wire in the STM I went from 12ish to 15w.

Have you ever used the Steam Engine coil calculator? On the Coil Wrapping tab, they have a Heat Flux template that will give you an indication as to how hot your vape will be with your given coil at a given wattage. The little flame icon will go from Blue, a cool vape, to Red, a hot vape when you adjust the Heat Flux. Below will be the wattage as per the Heat Flux you have set.

So a 0.5 ohm coil made with SS316 with a 3mm ID and 7 wraps will give you an average warm vape at around 22 watts

Yeah the heat flux was confusing me. I use an app similar to steam engine and it was showing the same higher wattage.

Now that I understand why it's different, I'm good to go.

I'm geeking my .... off playing with different ids and wraps in these calculators ;)

Got an email stating The Children's Health Foundation refused a 10,000.00 donation from Vapor Authority. How sad is that? Maka a Wish did accept the donation.

Love Make a Wish and donate to them monthly.. Great organization!

I’ll give it a shot if I can find one. Just unloaded the car in Alabama. I have all night to shiny hunt :).
Good luck, might find one if you ask in the classies. Might look for a Split R rdta. For the Pindad you'll want the V2 kit.
