VooPoo Drag...
- The Gene chip fired hotter that chosen wattage to make it appear better.
- Battery meter vs actual battery level is off by a significant amount.
- The TC functionality was somewhat functional with very strange TCR values.
- Promise of firmware updates, one was released that made the mod actually worse so it was pulled.
- Interesting UI, the 3 fire button click mode change needed to be put in the menu system. Too many times it would change modes as I was trying to shut it off.
- Sharp corners and lots of them, I see they fixed that on the Drag 2
Those were just some of the issues I had with it, the mod worked in VW mode it just way too over hyped.
The OG Kanger Dripbox 2 has basically the same software for connecting to the mod with identical user functions as the one for the Drag. It's quite funny how the Dripbox 2 suffers the exact same problems, battery, TCR, UI etc... The battery issue with the DB2 is quite a bit worse though, the chip will actually start throttling power back thinking the battery is low when it's not. VooPoo must have figured that a dual battey setup would overcome that problem.
I guess in the end it's more the programmers that are to blame than the actual hardware, horrible firmware makes for a horrible device. Compare an Eleaf Pico with stock firmware to one with Arctic Fox. The TC is almost DNA class and no fighting with the mod to give a New/Old Coil prompt.
