I guess I might have worded it wrong, but the base of the deck is super thin.
Yeah, I think they had to machine it that way to provide room for the wicks and keep it as low profile as possible. More material in the base would make the overall rda taller if we're keeping the same volume of the chamber. I dunno, the flavor is pretty outstanding the way it is.

I agree fully about flavor. If they would just make that part the oring goes on thicker it would cause the top cap to fit tighter. It wouldn't make it taller at all actually. It's just a personal gripe about the atty I have.

I gotcha. Maybe raise the edges of the base up a bit to create more of a juice well and then do a double o-ring seal for more stability.

the release of the glaz v2 reminded me that i hadn't built the original rta in a while. never had any issues apart from the sliding top fill sliding when it should have remained unslid in a pocket.
tomorrow will have to feature a belt as these two weigh in at 480g.

Not sure how you could make the deck beefier. It's basically a block of metal. Moving the grubs so the leads don't twist would be nice.

I'd like to see walls that go up to the airflow. I don't like when the deck is flat. Gets extra leaky.

That + new grub screw positioning + airflow top cap (like they have on their sold separately caps) = me being sold

Damned if you turn it off, damned if you don't. Quite literally a no win situation isn't it ?

My phone has multiple language keyboards and they autocorrect over eachother. It's a nightmare.

Morning shinies  and an extra  for @Letitia and her flying squirrels

That sounds like a WWI ace fighter squadron. I can hear the narration now...

As Letitia and her flying squirrels dropped down from the clouds, their crosshairs met the war's most formidable foe, the Red Baron and the flying circus of Germany.

He’s holding steady. I’m religious with his meds, and although he’s almost blind and quite hard of hearing, he eats and trots around, and as you can see, is a happy boy. Georgia understands, and she goes easy with him. The vet is pleased with how well he’s doing so far. She asks if he’s eating, and he has a good appetite. Hasn’t lost an ounce.

Thanks for asking!
I didn't know Rudy was having health problems. What is going on with him?

If you use the batteries then yes it will time out. If you plug it into a power source it won't. I plug mine into my battery charger since it stays plugged in but you can just use a wall wart.
Mine came with a power cord. No need for a wart. I love that it doesn't time out.

So got around to building the dvarw dl clone. Not crazy about the coil I installed, twisted fc, and not happy with the rayon wick but the flavor makes it well worth investing in the authentic and vv mtl clapton wire. First time I've been able to taste the rayon so strongly and I primed the wick like usual; half a tank later and still a strong taste. Thankfully the authentic will be a 6ml straight glass as the bubble looks awful.
20190501_150147-2.jpg the height will take some getting used to.

I ended up with some interesting shiny in the pipe this week. Got a black Occula RDA inbound along with a Godmod Overlord and some assorted Unicorn Vapes goodies as soon as AR credits my rewards ponts. Should make for a fun weekend for vaping.

Also, this Strawberry Jam Cookie has officially graduated to squonkable status.

Sweet, strawberry jam with a cookie finish. Really nice and really sweet, although it hasn't destroyed my cotton like I assumed it would. Definitely a contender for my top 20 overall and for my top 5 strawberry vapes. Chain vaping it at 130W on some quad-core Ni80 fused claptons is transcendental.

He has congestive heart failure. It was retry bad when I first got him to the vet, so much fluid he could hardly breathe because it was crushing his trachea. Been a few months though and the meds seem to be helping. But he’s 15 ( maybe older, they guessed him to be 2 when I got him) and doing alright for an old guy.
