PWM = Pulse Width Modulation.

It is the process of rapidly switching between 0v and battery voltage, similar to a square wave. The time between switching creates an average output voltage. This is often referred to as the duty cycle. So the higher the duty cycle, the higher the average voltage

Below is a screen grab from one of DJLsb measurements (I think a Yihi mod). Through out the duration of the device firing, you can see the time between being on (full voltage) and off (no voltage) increases, thus lowering the average output voltage.

...so a VV mod, right? Just with a different name? that’s how boost/buck works so everything that has boost/buck which is everything modern and VV...
I dunno, the stupid is strong in me right now

Get you one. You can't beat half price. I love mine and my big logo MDX setup. The mod I posted above comes with the RDA and stack section. A little over $100 with the code and free shipping is hard to pass up. Get the RDA alone for $20.
It is actually the Axial I was looking at. That B.....d unicorn kit is sick.
Just went back there and looked. Oh man they have lots of brass and copper. I want an old school looking brass and copper rig that is 21700 and functionally modern.
Anyway got a Axial and a Unicorn in the cart. I will sleep on it for now. Literally. Good nite folks

Needs a polish but looks good. The atty sits perfectly straight on the mod. Eventually I want a 21700 mechanical, but it can stay on this mod till then.

yay precision and a functional drill press! This is not a dig. My drill press is out of alignment and I ran out of brain trying to figure out how to correctly align it. I envy your straight channels. I can’t make them right now. Me and my hand-me-down 1960s equipment lol

what's with the purple and green?
I’m gonna guess anodized aluminum. Colors are right. Aluminum screws are just as conductive as copper (almost) but a lot cheaper. Softer though so anodizing them acts like case hardening a little. Still soft though. You can see the bite marks from the screwdriver.

They will probably have them for a little while. I really want the 25mm now. I love how much room to build it has. Realised when I looked at the pic that I had the bar of the clamp upside down so I took it out and flipped it with the build in it. I put it back together and it was perfectly fine, the wire didn't even move. Could never fit that build in any of my other dual coil attys. Love this RDA.

No, not like VV or more common VW. Both Variable Voltage and Wattage has a controller, or regulated circuit that sets the output at a particular wattage/voltage. A boost/buck circuit takes 4 volts and boosts it to 4.5, or bucks to 3.5. PWM is full voltage, the frequency of the Duty Cycle averages that voltage down. So 4 volts with a 75% Duty Cycle is similar to 3 volts. It is still outputting at 4 volts. It’s just being turned on and off at a frequency that gives it a sum, or average of 3 volts.

(that’s the best I can explain, perhaps another whisky may help!!)

I understand the no baby possums in the house thing now. Thing wouldn’t last 5 minutes. Squeaky treats are the best treats.
Still don't know if the baby has found a way out or is still in the house. I go through so much cat food can't tell if there's another nibbler or not.

I just got lucky and the atty tightened down to where the logo is perfectly straight forward.
what's with the purple and green?
That is the extra screws it came with. Thought it looked cool so I swapped them out.

It is a Minikin2 Kodama. As far as I know it is just the same as the other newer Minikin 2's. It has a touchscreen.

My Kodama has a touchscreen, but it’s not the same as my V2s. They are a bit older, so I’m not sure if later ones were different or not. Also not sure if that means the chips are different. Sure seems so though. Gosh, I haven’t used those v2s in a while.

I heard the new Minikun V2's were like the Kodama. My regular V2 is old as well. The chip is quite a bit different than my Kodama.
