I put the NarDa and NarCa clones away because of the annoying whistling. They’re in my PIF box at this point. I read that filing down part of the airflow holes fixed it but I don’t have metal files and the desire when I have so many other great single coil RDAs

The NarEA has completely different airflow so i'm hoping that it doesn't whistle but glad I didn't go for the other two. And the originals were around 160€ i believe :(

The split was the first of these I used a few years back.
Sadly ft only have the No name one left
$9.16 Split Styled RTA Rebuildable Tank Atomizer - 316 stainless steel + glass / 2ml at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping
The coppervape copy was very good with the single coil option.
I used it a few years back now and loved it. You could single coil a decent mtl vape with the 510 adapter or open it right up to single or dual coil.
The most popular one in the UK was the cthulhu one. Bit of a kenedy style deck in a tank size rdta (name escapes me currently).
The geekvape medusa reborn was the best I tried for big boy coils. It had a metal tank to look like a huge rda but the base had a huge tank reservoir and it vaped very much like the goon.
O rings where bloody tight though (goes without saying for geekvape).
I never bothered with any of the other squonkable RDTAs, they put the holes in the Pindad too low on the center post IMHO and you suck back half of what you squonk. The Pindad works so much better with the center post fill from the top.

I did use and love the Medusa Reborn until the squonk pin snapped at the threads, I should contact GeekVape about a replacement but it still works fine in regular mode. I removed one of the o-rings from the base which made it much easier to get that top off and on. I was actually going to replace the back ones with silicone versions but didn't have any that fit.

Plumes for days it was. ;)

That's a great shot. I am a completely addicted photographer but I gave up doing birds because I don't have the lens for them...my max is 210mm :)

The sigma Sigma 170-500mm F5-6.3 DG lens is really sharp and it won't break the bank either. But there are other lenses I would buy before that one...wildlife is tricky and you need never ending patience :)

Oof, big glass can make a VA Spade pocket change. But Sigma does offer some good glass at better prices. Does that have IS? Those big lenses can really benefit if you're going handheld even if it's really bright out.

The original snapdragon before they released a bf version was the most difficult due to the whole base being separated from the deck.
The OG SnapDragon... Now that would be a serious bit of engineering to convert it over to BF, what a silly design with the reverse threaded base and Rose V2 style positive plate.

The original e-Phoenix Resurrection was enough for me, but I did manage to drill a straight hole up through that solid centerpost. ;)

No there is no image stabilisation but for the price point it is a no brainer really.....just under 2 grand for all that glass is fab....they do another type for just under 1 as well but quality suffers a bit...It's an expensive hobby...some of the better glasses can cost upwards of 5 grand...ooh la la :)

If anyone wants a forever squonk (or general mod) I'd recommend mat at fyne mods.
Been mod making for years and has the most awesome follow up care. Just send your mod back periodically for the price of postage and get a full clean, wax and service.
Some lovely dual bottle squonkers in DNA or yihi but the 20700/21700 single cell squonkers are a welcome addition.

I picked up a brass Apocalypse cap for five bucks at Florida Vapor Supply during their Cloud Chemist eliquid sale. I'm typically not a huge fan of gold or brass but the shiny is speaking to me on this one. The juice is supposed to be a banana oatmeal cookie but it's currently reminding me of the smell of scented candles in this craft shop my mom used to drag me along to on the weekends when I was a kid.

It has kind of a perfumy clove and spice aftertaste that's near un-vapable. Like the unspoken lie told by those spiced gumdrops in the candy dish on your grandma's coffee table. You think they're going to be fruity and delicious but sorry kid, have a life lesson instead. I'm gonna shelve it for a while to see if it calms down. The name of the flavor sounded great, but blech.

I took a dremel to my NarDa several times, it never sorted the annoying whistling.

And the vape from the Wasp wasn't all that special either, seriously over hyped RDA.

Following a few recommendations here on ECF, I tried repositioning the coil within the Wasp to try and rectify the loud whistling…was not successful. Still using the same coil, with no explanation it just stopped whistling.

The Wasp uses vary little cotton so due to that I only use it to sample new juice. 1 Muji pad can get me 8 rewicks if cut precisely.

I loved clove gumdrops as a kid.

And just for @Tralfaz who as we all know is quite the connoisseur of this RDA. I finally found mine and yes the velvet bag is an annoying fluff magnet.

I own a cat, everything is a fluff magnet! I keep threatening her that I am going to shave her bald. Her response is..”Oh ya”…then pulls out a nail file and says…”try it!”

Thanks for clarifying because I've thought about adding the Hussar RTA clone on FT a few times and I was worried for a sec that it had whistling airflow. lol
I wouldn't bother with that one. I wonder if the authentic would be that much different in regards to whistling. The Hussar is CAD$150+tax from Enushi and I can just see getting that home only to find out it whistled.
