If you think NY was not enlightened, don’t ever come to Ohio. I mean ever. Really.
Like the song says. I've been everywhere man.
I was a touring guitar tech in the late 80's early 90's. Had a great time touring the world and in particular every sweat box from mexico up to yellow knife.
Got to meet some fantastic people, most exceptionally kind but yes there where some area's that really took me by surprise.

Basically stay inside city limits of a large metro center at all times. Been getting moreso since the 80’s rather than less.

A pack of skunk has a whole different meaning here. Lol.
Reminds me of the story my dad told of the first time he travelled to the state's (New York) and was desperate for a smoke so went over to the first kiosk vendor he saw and asked for 20 fags.
This request was not well received.
Reminds me of how the common usage of "rubber" made my sisters and me giggle when my family lived in England in 1969/70.

That would kill me.

Downeast Maine is pretty tolerant. I wouldn't like to live in the interior of the state, though.

Probably true in Columbus, but Toledo, not so much. I mean you don’t see it just passing through, but it’s very plain to see it’s backwards if you stay a while.

And out here in the surrounding areas it’s always been backwards, but lately it’s downright children of the corn.

Got my shiny today. Hooked up the Recurve to my Pulse 80w. Nice smooth flavorful vape.

I think that’s the definition of frugal. Frugal isn’t about getting the cheapest one available, it’s about getting the best one you can afford, that’s going to last so it doesn’t need to be replaced repeatedly, and looking for the best price on it.

I think I’m pretty easy on my vape gear so everything seems to be holding up fine. Shirts, not so much. Doesn’t pay to invest a lot in those. Hence I put several times as much money in vaping than I do my wardrobe.
I feel I am pretty frugal. I do tons of research before I buy something like a vacuum or a yard tool. I buy what is good and going to last a long time depending on my use of it. I have an Orion and a Roomba vac (tons of research done here and I paid more then I wanted to because I got the one that you can get the hair out of easily-600 series and up)
Best thing I bought was my Stihl gas weed-eater and I had the attachment installed so you do not have to wind the plastic string, just cut a piece and stick it in. I will pay good money for something that will give me good service. I went through 2-3 junk weed-eaters before I bought this. It starts every time.

big sigh..I have not had any shiny show up at my house in a long time. Last cat went to the clinic today and pick up tomorrow. Trailer park is done at 22 cats. I plan to buy myself a new purse to match my new shoes for doing it. I hope Opinionated cuts me some slack when I post the bag because I earned it (please?)

I got a 80v Kobalt weed water because I can’t pull start anything. The batteries work with the lawn mower and leaf blower. Great battery op stuff. I wish I could get that attachment for mine. I absolutely hate putting string on it. Much swearing. It’s pretty heavy too, but it cuts like a gas powered one.

You so deserve a new bag for your kind service not only to your neighborhood, but also to the cats! Please show it off!

    morning all.
a wee bag of shiny things has arrived in the country. royal fail may, or may not, get them to me by the weekend. a koopor mini 2 (for a pocket rocket setup) will feature along with some wotofo framed staple ni80 wire.
i get into the office waaaaay early so while there's no-one around the provari/nautilus setup gets some use.

while the extension tube adds some length (as does the nautilus uber drip tip!) using a VTC5A gives exceptional battery life over the 18350s i have.
