Is this a cone cover? I’m trying to figure what that is.
Worst scenario for me is you’ll see it in the Classifieds lol!!

That looks like a 'beauty ring', which is what they are called. Did the description where you bought it say it included a beauty ring? You got the extension, that is good. You can use 2 different size batteries.

I call that one my Seahawks colors.

Is a cone cover an aftermarket thingy?

    Yes, it is.

    Yes. It is.

Looks like it. We’ll see when it arrives. They’re hard to come by

Not really, the biggest problem being they can't really be found in the states, so shipping is high for a 2 dollar item..

You can buy one today though, you'll just pay for shipping from the EU.

Fingers crossed. Will an Ammit MTL work ok on this mod? I bought one but haven’t used it yet.

Yes an Ammit will work on it.. so will any 22mm tank... a 22mm siren, a Kayfun 5 (which is RL) etc.

Good morning shiners! Busy night here last night. Everyone had insomnia at the same time?

Yes that's me exactly...I got one too...some of the pods are woefully badly engineered as far as the fill port goes....this one works for any circumstance although it needs a pretty hard squeeze to get it working :)

After a disastrous first refill I started removing the pod to refill it. I did find tilting it whole filling seems to do ok with a normal unicorn bottle. We'll see when I feel brave enough to do it with the pod still mounted.

I always thought the cannes film festival would be fun to go to. So many great movies that didn't come from Hollywood.

Weird thing. Last night I dreamed of watching a French film. Can't tell you the plot line but all I could think of was why did the French consider it a comedy? But I always have weird dreams.

Good morning shinies...it's trying to be sunny and it jolly well should be...what a bizarre spring we've had although it a well known fact that it always rains when the Cannes film festival is on :)

The only Cans festival we have here is wet t-shirt contests....

Sometimes I was successful and sometimes juice went everywhere. In the end I got too annoyed to bother...hence the needle tip. Some of the smaller pods have minuscule fill ports.

    Good morning Shiny's
Rain on the way but since I'll be at work not much interested anyway. Wild honeysuckle is about to explode with blooms, that does excite me!

I love honeysuckle. I had some for a while. It drew the biggest bumblebees I’ve ever seen. Like flying fuzzy lemons. And that was fine. But I was stupid and planted it by the house. It started ripping the gutters off and had to go lol.

I do have lilacs that just started blooming. I wish they’d bloom all summer, such fragrance!

Well...that depends on who you know. :)

I haven't seen the real ProVape ones anywhere for $2. Aftermarket ones, that don't look like the authentics and sometimes do/sometimes don't fit "just right", yep...even have a few of them. Paid as much as $9US each + EU S/H for them. ;)

ETA: PV called the authentic ones made and sold by them..."Beauty Rings", but the plain, aftermarket ones (made & sold in Europe) are usually called cone covers by them.

I think the svoemesto cone covers (which I have) fit well..I don't think companies like svoemesto or stattqualm make bad aftermarket covers..

I'm sure you can find junk, but just because something is aftermarket doesn't make it necessarily bad..

Yes, i admit I wasn't thinking stabilised but however any wood product will react badly to extreme changes in temperature because of expansion and contraction......so I agree in part but not totally :)

My understanding is that the wood is saturated with resin. I've used that to fix rotten wood in old furniture, like table legs that have been standing in water for years. My wife collects old furniture and paints it. I've done it with wood that was so rotten you could crumble pieces off with your fingers, afterwards it's rock solid. It penetrates the pores of the wood and hardens like iron. After it's done there's no water left in the wood and no more water can get in. I believe most of the expansion and contraction of wood comes from the change in water content. With furniture you just dry out the wood and pour the resin into the end grain. I think with stabilized wood they use pressure, and it coats the surface as well. My guess is there's no expansion. The wood couldn't expand unless the resin matrix expanded at the same rate.

I have 2 Svoemesto ones, and I agree, they fit well. That's why I said aftermarket ones sometimes do/sometimes don't fit "just right". Never said everything aftermarket is bad. ;)

I've got some of those. They are very slightly cone shaped and don't have groves on the top like Provari rings. Designed to fit Kayfuns specifically, I think Kayfuns are a touch thinner than the Provari, maybe 21 ml. The Provari rings are perfect for regular 22 ml tanks.
