The only thing that worked on my recent stuck barrel was putting it on a coilmaster, wrapping a cloth around it and using vise grips on it. It did destroy my coilmaster, pulled the connection out so now I use that adapter to grip anything stuck.

Yeah I tried the coil master and failed. Didn’t kill the coil master fortunately.

I mean my hands not metal. Oh am I an electrical conductor lol?
You're giving me belly laughs now! You will be fine. I'm holding an 18650 between my thumb and index finger as I attempt typing with one hand - actually two fingers and I'm ok! Oh wait whats that tingling feeling...zzzt zzzzzzt...just kidding. You'll be fine.

Me too. I’ve managed not to need to rewrap a battery in over a year but I have one now to do. I’m actually a bit nervous. What happens if I touch both ends at the same time  ?
This pretty much explains it:

Really, it's not hard though ... just don't use metal tools to cut the old wrap off, don't wear rings and such which might bridge the positive nipple to the side of the cell (negative), don't drop the naked battery in your change jar, don't try to use the microwave to heat shrink the new wrap ... you'll be fine.

You’ll be holding it by the ends, not the middle. Unless you have a metal prosthetic hand, you’re good to go

Anyone have a pic of a crazy vape stash that’ll make me feel better about my seemingly never ending spending?
I screenshot this off ECF to PROVE to Himself, there were indeed people with wayyy more vape stuff than me. I don’t know whose it is, so apologies to the owner (of who I am in awe and jealous of). I should know better than try and reason with a man who’s been driving the same truck for 20 years

Thanks for the video. I’ve actually watched a couple awhile ago but I’ve been putting it off. I think I’ll give it a whirl tomorrow so if u don’t hear from me tomorrow you’ll know things didn’t go as planned :w00t: !!!!!!

If I can do it, you most certainly can. Be sure and use the gripper on your ceramic tweezers to hold it. It gets hot (just so you know and don’t freak out like I did). Once it starts to shrink, it goes pretty quick

If it's still got wrinkles, just keep heating and rotating it til it shrinky dinks. I use a pair of ceramic head tweezers to hold the battery. My fasttech wraps I had to trim 2mm off one end for my samsung 30q's
You are my hero! Bolstered by your unwavering conviction, I had another go just now. My ceramic tweezers are unfortunately not of a size to effectively grip an 18650, so I used a handkerchief instead, which helped a lot.

The wrinkles were stubborn for at least a couple of minutes, but then they actually did disappear almost all at once. My faithful LGs can be brought back into service.

I’m as impressed with the organization of it all as I am of the magnitude! Makes me want to pull all the ones I have boxed up out and see what I really have. I only keep about 15 mods and about the same number of tanks in the drawers for current use.

@Fidola13 were you the purchasing agent for all that?

Funny, I just showed my husband that pic and the first thing he said was, “that’s a lot more organized than your room!”
