My Lifepo4 3.2v 26650 cells came in --- I know, batteries aren't shinies, but, it means I can fire up and start experimenting via the 26650 Chi You Megan clone that came last week:
chiyou-megan.jpg

Currently running 0.64 ohm clapton and it is hitting around the 16 watt mark as expected (been swapping the atty to a regulated mod to test for equivalent vape just to satisfy myself --- recall, I'm using 3.2v nominal lifepo4 cells, not 3.7v nominal liion cells).

Always liked the look of those, pretty setup.

I'm just about as exited as you about that Frenzy. Plz let know how you go with it...

I’ll be sure to report back. I probably won’t use it until tomorrow as I’m a bit busy this evening. But I just wanted to post that I’ll let you know how it vapes as soon as I use it . I will tell you it’s a really nice looking, tiny lil’ mod [emoji4]

I haven’t, but I’ll let you know if I do. Still, that’s not a terrible price at UK, I don’t think, for as pretty as they are.

Not only that, they shipped that last mod on the house!!

I figure that the money from the settlement is “free” so I should spend it ALL! Lol!!

I get to go work a half day in Sierra Vista tomorrow. That's an hour of driving time each way.

Small world, I sure remember that place. I stayed at the Sierra Suites in Sierra Vista several times back in the 80's-90's, although on the trips to S/SE AZ I usually stayed mostly in Green Valley (Comfort Inn) or in a Madera Canyon cabin. A friend was the CO at the Army base there at Sierra Vista (Fort Huachuca) that gave me access to roam the base freely to do Lepidopteran life history research in Garden and Sawmill Canyons on the base. Mainly I targeted the influx species that came to SE AZ some years from Mexico, Central and South America, but also reared the local species. I also did the same at Madera Canyon, Box Canyon, Pena Blanca, Sycamore Canyon and Rio Rico on those 2-3 week twice a year trips.
On the base one of the species of interest was the Chiricahua Pine White (Neophasia terlootii) whose larva feed on Ponderosa Pine.

I had a small shiny delivery.
Replacement nord for my one that grew legs, hate when that happens. And a whole bunch of .6 coils for my various nord mods. They were on sale.
That is all.
For now.;)

G'nite
Ohhhh... Nord coil sale? Where? No, wait... That's the back up for the backup... But I must know...

Hey Andrew that looks pretty impressive although the atty needs to be wider imo.

I nearly went for some Li Po batteries myself recently until I realised that they wouldn't fit my mod.

I suppose if you're a low wattage, highish ohm vaper then the Li Po can be a good choice as long as as it fits your mod.

I will be interested to here more about your experiences :)

Good morning shinies :)

Lovely and warm here 25 and it's only 08h30. Bad news for next week though as a 'canicule'is predicted with temperatures up to 40....ooh, la, la.

Customs release on one of my packages so should only be a few more days and that will make it 30 days to get to me

UK & much further East.
I finally got my delayed shiny UPS delivery, a sample Eleaf Tance.

After some surreal confusion in the tracking I ascertained it was delayed by some Customs issue, steeling myself I called the UPS Brokerage dept ( apparently they "do" the Customs work) ... it was simply that the package did not state that the device was TPD compliant.

The UK was therefore saved from armageddon caused by a pod that was a few ml too big, the package was immediately released and I received it the next day

The Tance is a very powerful wee thing, review in a week or two. So many pod systems, must be what the market demands

Yeah, I don't have any 30mm RDAs (not sure if there are 30mm MTL atties out there) --- but, the mod comes with two top pieces, the recessed cone shaped one I have on now for 22mm, or a regular flat top 510 for up to 30mm atties.

Well, not Lipo, but LifePO4 -- much safer chemistry, but lower nominal voltage.

Yes, I'm a lower wattage vaper (typically 20 watts max), I'm just checking them out for the much flatter discharge curve which should give a more consistent vape (on a mech) over nearly all of the cell's capacity (unlike our more familiar cells). I just have to build a little lower than usual to account for the lower voltage. However, these cells do allow pretty high amp draws as well (rated at 55A continuous, but the reviewer has only tested up to 30A and they barely got warm), and in a series mech would allow for plenty of wattage (which is probably where most of the vaping interest in these cells would be).

Unfortunately, there's not a lot to choose from in 26650 mods these days, and no off-the-shelf mech squonkers in that size it seems --- so I may have to build one, or at least modify an existing 18650 squonk into a 26650 franken-squonk. I need to peruse Fasttech's selection to see if one looks suitable for hacking.

At any rate, it's performing just fine ... been hitting it a lot (too much really) but it'll still be a good while yet before I vape the first battery dry (so to speak).

Yes I know that the lower voltage is the issue but yes I guess that putting them in series somewhat compensates for this in all intents and purposes.

My 26650's came from fogstar and I bought some AWT's from China a while ago too. I can probably help you out with a mod as I have this one coming.....

$64.26 Authentic SBody Legend II DNA75 75W VW TC APV Box Mod - 1-75W / 200-600'F / 1*18650/26650 / zinc alloy + resin at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

And yes you're right 26650 mods are hard to come by. I'm not sure whether this one could be modded to accept the extra battery length...what are your Life Po4's in length by the way?
The max accepted on the mod as is is 65mm and I suspect you're going to have at least a 3-5mm extra on yours. This one is a very good price for a DNA 75 and maybe a good buy for modding :)
