Reos mods was the first successful mech squonk mods that had a huge following on this forum and worldwide until the ReoMeister Robert O'Neil closed it's doors and the forum here 3+ years ago. It was a very small operation in the mountains of rural Maine operated by one of the nicest men in the business yet he produced 1000's of Reos. A simple man that kept the Reos simple as well, they are workhorses that can last a lifetime with very little maintenance. And they are easy to work on yourself if the need should arise. A lot of Reos have been customized by their owners, some of them into true works of art. Over the years there were several versatile models for 14500, 18350, 18490 and 18650 batteries that were machined from billet aluminum and brass to wood creations. He also dabbled in variable voltage Reos in the early years, both metal and wood. My "collection" includes examples of most of them dating back to February 2011. IMO his last models were the best of the best, the P67's and 2015 Woodvil's. I also have a couple of custom Reos. Reosmods was eventually sold, but the new owner is not active here, uses other social media. Since I only use mesh gear now days, my 5 P67's all run Wotofo Profile Mesh rda's now and are the only Reos in daily service. But my 4 2015 Woodvil's could also run them in a pinch.

P67's, 2015 Woodvil's and other examples...

A couple of owner customized Reos (Capt Steve), and 3 pictures of a custom Reo a bunch of us paid to have made for Robert himself. The work was done in South Africa, was arranged and overseen by Rob Fisher (who also has some custom engraved Reos).

I remember the REO craze. Never got into them but almost everyone else I knew did.

I'm sure that a lot of friends were made and businesses forged on here back in the day. Actually I have seen people complain that it's not the same here anymore as all the good people have gone
I have only been here since 2013 and yes good people have gone ( a lot went to the other thread with the Roxy debacle) but good people have came too. I imagine it is like this in all forum worlds

I guess...I here people grumble on here from time to time about how the missing people were better.

I definitely think we've got some lovely people here too and although I joined in 2014 I didn't really contribute until last year :)

EDIT...what was the Roxy debacle??

Long story but in a nutshell...she helped develop an RTA and then talked about it here. They accused her of promoting it. Put her on time out or something. She left and others followed. Everyone wore a green parrot avatar in solidarity for awhile.

I can imagine how that arose and went :( Do you remember the name of the RTA and did it ever get produced?

And then she left and went over at the other place.
The Augvape Merlin got released and that Jai waste of skin showed his true colors in that thread, so much that she left there as well.

Audrey (roxy) had some truly awesome threads here and was one of the best.

I wonder where she is now and whether she'd come back on board if we pleaded :)

Ok, well now I feel up to speed on the saga around the Boreas RTA and after watching several build videos i'm wondering whether if this RTA was the ist ever to have the juice flow and AFC combined into one system?

After many moons of refusing the RTA route I now have 6 coming so I guess that's why I was interested in this but actually, having said that, a bit of history is always good to know.

The Boreas was very popular around here back then. TBH, I was one of the very few who wasn't a big fan of it. I did like the Merlin and still have 2 that see occasional use. But given the influx of squonk shiny with me all my RTAs are being neglected. I hope the don't end up leaking on me out of spite.

I'm not sure about the 6 i've got coming....it's certainly not a logical purchase and my squonk collection just keeps building and building :) I'm praying that I can build wick and vape with no leaks for at least the first time with each one or otherwise i'll probably toss each one in the drawer....

I'm actually waiting for the smoant knight to restock because that's the type of mod you should use for an RTA IMO.

If you are ever curious about DL RTAs, the Aromamizer Supreme V2 (25mm) and the Aromamizer Plus (30mm) are the only ones you will ever need, solid performers. :vapor:

Thanks...they look nice but i'm trying to stick at arounfd 22mm. I think that the FEV is 23mm but that's the biggest. I'm seriously thinking about the dicodes Illusia mod.....that's the perfect RTA carrier IMO. Only problem is its over 400 euros
