There’s a very informative thread on VU in a Stabwood topic that discusses ALL types of stabwood/regular wood care. I learned a lot from them. And all are happy to share their knowledge.
Hi @Fidola13 , would that be this thread??? If not which one TIA.

Hi guys...so my extended polishing and buffing kit came in the mail today along with some Renaissance polish

:)

Grits used were (starting just above where I left off at 600) 800, 1200, 2000, 3000, 5000, 10 000. These came as 7.5cm (3 inch) circular sheets which velcroed onto a similar sized backing plate which then was fitted on a drill....

I then buffed with a 75mm buffing pad with a pre finishing paste and the finishing was done with an 150 mm cotton buffing pad with finishing paste. Renaissance wax was then applied and then rebuffed to a perfect gloss.

Hopefully this video will do the finish justice

EDIT Sorry guys embedding the video didn't work....if anyone knows how to do it let me know.

My SBody Legend II arrived today, not in the fancy box I saw in the reviews, disappointingly, but, hey, the great price had to come at the expense of something, I suppose. The screw that goes in the battery cap was also loose in the box, but it was there, at least.

I am flustered, though. I screwed on an atty, which was fitted with a 1.25 ohm coil. I then popped in an 18650 and adjusted the screw to eliminate the rattle. And the mod--which, unbeknownst to me, had arrived with the power set at 55W--autofired. I couldn't get the damn battery cap to unscrew (broke my thumbnail trying), so it just kept on and on firing till I could grab a pair of needle nose pliers and get a grip on the cap.

I have already got back on the horse and reinserted a battery, pulling back on the screw a bit. When I first turned the mod on, without an atty, a "short" message flashed on the screen, but I'm guessing this was left over from the autofire. After I reattached the same atomizer that had endured the ordeal, everything seemed to be fine. The juice is overcooked, of course, so I need to dump it, wash the tank (some liquid got seared to it), and rewick. Should I change the coil as well?

This is far more excitement than I like in my life.

I tip my hat to your polishing abilities. That has a nice mirror shine.
