Good morning Shiny's
Nice mellow morning here. Forgot to take a pic of the baby ness but so far I'm liking it but do wish the fire button protruded just a bit more. Comfortable thumb fire using the knuckle, takes a spell to find a sweet spot for finger fire. Going to spend more time with it before deciding if I want a couple more. Hand feel is rather nice and liking the weight and finish quite a bit as well.
Forgive my ignorance but what is the 'baby ness' ? :)

Contemplating cutting my nails and dusting off the guitar today.
Of course you absolutely should ... I mean, even playing one of those newfangled electrified guitars (I heard those can just explode) is better for the soul than not playing guitar at all :)

Ha ha....i'm getting the faces again o_O:pervy:o_O

Looks a really comfortable shape and never heard of the maker :)
The OG loch ness was pretty popular until people started posting about the finish wearing off quickly. It was the same shape just larger to accommodate dual 18650. The 21700 is a tight fit, may try my red Sanyo 20700 in it next.

Let us know (i'm sure you will) how you get on with it :)

As long as you get the seller, you should do okay. I’ve only gotten one bogus item in 20 years, a pair of knock off Converse. For $5 I wasn’t upset I though, I rather expected I’d get phonies, and they’re not all that bad really.
I'm quite excited about the purchase. I'll feel so classy (if it's real)!

Woke to discover I'd won an ebay auction: I was the only bidder on a supposedly original, supposedly only used for two weeks kayfun v4. Got it for $50, shipped. Now I wait to see whether it's the real thing. I fully expect to have been screwed.
Absolutely loved the kayfun V4 back in the day, had two of them. One pictured here with the FeV3.

This is the exploded parts diagram that you will need to keep very close at the start. ;)

The KFV4 doesn't work well with TC because of the #12 spring, there were solutions to make the resistance more stable but I just ran mine in VW mode.

Saved! And so far I'm power mode all the way, so it should suit me fine.

I ran mine with the 4S Kit, it has a bigger bore and no AFC screw.

You remove the 510 pin and adjust the AFC screw though the hole, it can be a bit of a PiTA until you get it set the way you want it.

Shinyitis has sharpened my hunting skills and willingness to strike fast on a great deal, which I did today. My July shinyitis - a new to me used minivan!

The old one, our fifth, has been the ProVari of minivans - 14 years, 186,000 miles, just routine maintenance. The new one matches the gunmetal Zenkote ProVari I'm hammering away on, so it's matchy matchy too!

I'm an MTLer, so I will have to fiddle with that screw at the start, but after that I should be able to leave it be. Unless my vape style changes, of course.

I loved my mini vans. I hope you have many happy years with yours.

All I got was some random color drip tips and atty stands. A couple are rather pretty. One is hot pink, don’t know what I’d use that for.

Here's a cedar guitar body I did a couple of years ago ("Janine"). I coated the wood with a heavy layer of clear epoxy resin (thinned with acetone), and let it just disappear into the wood. A few days later, I repeated the process. Then I sanded and polished it smooth, and the color will probably never change much. It also added over 2 lbs to the weight of the body, so I won't be doing that one again. Or maybe I will. I wonder if people would pay more for a "stabwood" guitar?
ElectroDave, Tele Janine is mighty puuuurdy. I love natural grained guitars and have been admiring your work in various threads. You do some really nice work. Do you have any sound clips of your guitars? I would love to hear any clips you may have.

I used to have several guitars too and had a big case of G.A.S. lol. My niece who plays in three bands with regular gigs has been "borrowing" my Strat for some time now. I was playing my Yamaha Pacifica PAC611HFM earlier today. It has a Seymour Duncan SP90-1 in the neck and a Custom 5 (higher output classic '59) in the bridge with push-pull coil splitting. I totally love the earthy guttural sound of a soapbar. It's a player. The Yamaha's, depending on model, are rather underrated guitars.

Yes totally… IMO guitar players and/or collectors (especially collectors) would pay handsomely for a stabwood guitar.

Freshly strung last night...

Really nice. That was when Yamaha guitars were something special, and for a great price. The guitar they sell today as the Pacifica just isn't in the same class. The P90's are great. Surfy.

I'm a dunce when it comes to recording. The other problem with sound clips is that you are only hearing the guitar through my amplifier, and it may sound much different through yours. Dozens of people have purchased my guitars without hearing them first. I've done plenty of pickup swaps/upgrades before shipping the guitar. On the guitar I sold three weeks ago, I added a kill switch. With a kill switch, you can sound just like Eddie Van Halen or Tom Morello in just a few decades.

I have a Yamaha acoustic that’s 35 years old and looks and plays like new. Nothing fancy, but I paid like $100 for it. Even back then, I thought that was a steal.

I got out the Guild and played a little today. It’s been too long and my fingers are killing me lol.
