Opening that era of Mini is not as bad as some say, with keen eyesight and good light it can be done if you follow the iFixit pictures carefully. It's the price to pay for a small form factor.
I've been fixing Macs (paid hobby) since apples became Apples in 1970 something, I hate the glued together form over function stuff they produce these days. Yesterday I opened up a friends 2008 MacBook Pro as the fans were noisy, HD and swappable battery accessible after opening a flip latch, fans accessible after removing 6 or so screws. Enough crud and food in there to make soup! But easy to do, Apple started to make it difficult around 2010 = throw it away and buy another - that MBP now does browsing, music, videos and email perfectly well again.
Many vape devices are the same now, particularly those with built in cells ofc... where's the screws? I want to get in! Oh dear, built in obsolescence, throw it away, buy another.

never owned an iphone and this was my second mac. only because of the form factor. no problems for me to take it apart but the fact that i have to do so much irks me somewhat. my own fault for not thinking ahead.
It is a pain. I still have some good looking G4-5 etc desktop Macs in the bowels of the garage that can be opened with a latch, most parts come out with the flip of a latch too. Form AND function.
People ask me to repair recent Macs, I decline, my eyes are not good enough now and the thought of prising out glued in laptop cell packs with a spatula worries me.... soldered in SSD and RAM? W*F! A friend has a business up country with an amazing repair workshop for Macs and others, he says that life is difficult now with the hammer and chisel level of effort required to get into the things.

And here I’ve been complaining about fixing my house. I may have to climb up on something, or under something, to do the repair, but at least how it comes apart is quite straight forward.
thought I'd try a different build in the bunker. not for the luna... going on the topside dual. staggered and fused coming out at 0.24. raised it up a wee bit. vapes great. top cap more manageable this time too.

That is very spooky. Until yesterday I had never heard of 'hair forks' and here you are chatting about them. I too have long hair that I have to wear it in a bun at work. Must get a couple or ten or these hair fork things......
