it isn't a mech despite the description. VV mod with the usual protections. and who doesn't love a potentiometer, right?
For that price then I ordered one! Thanks for the info I have been a bit drooly over it, which like, I guess is good/bad I got copper. I love copper things.
The kiddo is gone. Sigh. However, my bank account has ceased groaning in disgust LOL. He is more expensive than shinyitis and that's saying something. I'm glad he had a good time. He was crying about never seeing the dog again when his final departure came. Sigh. I told him we MIGHT come a Christmas and bring the little dog unless my mom objects. She would have to object heavily though cuz I am not paying kennel costs.
I have avoided the "summon all kids" family Christmases for SO long they seen to go better for everyone when I am NOT there. However I guess I could just be on my best behavior and my kid doesn't love them either and always wishes we were there. He feels... Bereft.
Christmas it is. Also, I am SO GLAD I went back on a Friday. My day was horrible. NOTHING on my computer was set up right, including the mouse pad on the laptop turning itself on (it takes an administrator to remove it. I could "see" my email but not use it. I guess my IT department doesn't understand 365 either because the dude was having a really hard time.
We were both on speaker and he said he would have to get back to me. I was like, "Okay." He hung up. AS he did so, I went to remove my speaker phone and I guess it was still "open" on the other side. New phones. Anyway, I heard "(Censored) it I just don't wanna talk to her any more..... (Censored) this censored, I'm just gonna wait for Erik."
I hung up in horror but I was like, "Okay this technically is an IT issue." So I emailed what happened, what I heard, and that I wasn't quite sure what I did or said to cause such a reaction but if he could point anything out about what I might say or not say next time that would not cause him to hang up because he didn't want to talk to me, that would be great. I CC'd his supervisor and mine (stating "I am mainly letting my supervisor know because you feel unable to work with me and I can't get anything done." I ended with. "If it's easier for you, you are more than welcome to come GET the laptop and not work with it remotely because right now it is totally useless to me." I did ALSO say that I totally understood IT was stressful and they had not enough IT personnel to do the job. I ALSO said that I was ALSO extremely busy, and was unable to do the rest of MY job.
My day ended at 5:17; I am SO Glad I went back on a Friday, not a Monday or I would have been crying.
Still no dragon. The laptop is at least easier to use. I had to have them unlock a bunch of notes anyway because I can't justify being behind ANY longer. Sigh.

ETA: I received a most abject apology and after I accepted said apology, some of the *best* IT support I have gotten from this company. Still no dragon but at least stuff works now.
