Closest thing to shiny I got in the mail today was some AA batts and several scent canisters for my 3 automatic spray air freshener dispensers. In fact they are the only things I've got that might be called somewhat shiny looking at all for over 2 months.

So I'm turning in my tarnished Shinyitis Badge.

    :)

I believe that I have finally reached that place in vaping where I have no desire at all for anymore vaping gear. It is ridiculous how much I have bought for vaping in 6.5 years when 80% plus of it is not used anymore (most of it not for years, some of it still new and unused). All my life I have been a collector of many things that sparked my interest (or our interests the 35 years with my ex). So vaping has been no different, another hobby, something to do. Prior to 2019 I averaged $8K to $10K per year spent on vaping... to date for 2019 my total vaping buys have been $464. I have thought about laying in some more VG for cold storage, maybe a little more PG, but there is nothing else that I'll need to see me thru to the trails end.

My bases are covered with the mesh atty's that started changing my direction 2 years ago, soon after became the top shelf gear and I am still satisfied in every way with the vape I get from them. Of the 28 mesh atty's I have, 25 are still online on mech and dual parallel mech squonk, and regulated dual series TC, 26650 TC and 2X700 squonk mods. Only the first three mesh atty's I bought were enough of a fail that they are not used anymore (Vandy Vape Mesh RDA's). My mech mods are bullet proof, and so far I have never had a regulated mod fail with some of them dating back 3-4 years in fairly constant use. So more than enough mods and atty's when my daily/nightly rotations are normally 5-6 at a time. They are enough, so don't care what the next latest/greatest gear becomes.

No not yet as i'm going to take the switch plate off and see if there is a trapped button first...I keep prevaricating :D

To be fair i've got so many un-opened vape things on my desk I don't know quite where to start!!

Aaah, yes I need to do some juice :)

Good morning shiners! Nothing due today, but that Arctic Dolphin for next to nothing is due tomorrow. I'll check that everything is working and box it up for the stash.

the covered in liquid luna win is no longer covered in liquid. gave it a smooth and polish. i just don'tView attachment 832491 like it. apologies for the poor lighting.

I know appearance is subjective, but I rather like the look of that. Hopefully you're opinion may change over time.

    Stunning! :wub::wub::wub:

Did you use the micro mesh pads? Which grit did you start with & did you move quickly down the sizes? Or did you spend some time on each grit size?

Thanks much! I started with the 4,000 grit & spent a few minutes on each pad down to the finest grit @12,000. Then finished with the Renaissance Wax Polish.

It’s nice & smooth but not as shiney as yours :D

Started at 220 grit and then went up to 10 000 grit followed by a buff. I do have micro mesh pads but I didn't use then in this case.

As far as time goes it depends how you're doing it. All mine were mounted on a rotary fitting on a drill so I would say roughly 2 mins on each grit. The most important are the lower grits which get out all the blemishes. The luna's usually have some knots etc that need at least 300-400 grit to get out.

    I hope this helps.

Thanks you! I’m doing it by hand.

Did you attach a buffing pad on your drill?

How can I simulate that by hand?

    Good morning Shiny's
Spent a couple hours exploring 21700 options for the stash, unfortunately the one I like the best is the Famas which is at fuu in France. Found a deal for a jackaroo at vaporl but haven't used either sight before.

I’ve heard of people using Vaporl. The only thing that stands out in my mind is if you don’t mind the wait.

Don’t know what a Famas is lol! I’ll go google :D

Did you attach a buffing pad on your drill?

How can I simulate that by hand?
To simulate by hand simply use a cotton cloth, old tea shirt or something and even use kitchen tissue to do the initial buff.

For absolute best results you need some buffing compound which is easily got from amazon...

    https://www.amazon.co.uk/JEWELLERS-Polishing-Compound-precious-polishing/dp/B00O3GX6H6/ref=sr_1_7?crid=1VTLV6YUA8TJV&keywords=buffing+compound&qid=1565959189&s=gateway&sprefix=buffing,aps,310&sr=8-7

You can accomplish exactly the same finish that I got but it will take a lot longer and also build up the strength in your arms :D Remember all shine is still a scratched surface....it's just that the scratches are so small that they can't be seen by the human eye
