Running a Woodstock stream from Spotify at the shop today, watched the Netflix 50th anniversary rockumentary last night. I was only 8 at the time, anyone here go?

We lived fairly close to Woodstock at the time (New Paltz) but were in England that year. I doubt my parents would have allowed eleven-year-old me to attend regardless.

One of my sisters went to Watkins Glen in 1973. By that time, I could've gone, too, but chose not to, for some reason. She had a terrible time, so I didn't regret my decision.

I was 10 when Woodstock took place. My brother had the album. I was longing to be a hippie around that time and growing up in So Cal I was able to take myself (via the bus) to the places where the hippies gathered. Hollywood, Venice Beach, etc. That longing ended with the Manson family murders as the news was all about "Hippie Cult Killers" Later, after I learned to drive, I took myself to the scene of the murders. Cielo Drive in the Hollywood Hills. Shocking times.

I was almost 6 at the time ... alas, my parents were too square to pack up four kids and the dog in the stationwagon and take a road trip from Topeka to Bethel.

We’re the same age, glad my parents weren’t the only stick in the muds to not contemplate a cross country trip with all us (although may have been fine if they’d left my brothers at home ).
In happy shiny news, in a hunt for a particular pair of shoes, I found a nib, unopened Solo behind the shoeboxes!! Ummm... don’t remember it even arriving lol! Does that count as my new mod for the week?? Hope not!!

HAHAHA. Through the years I have taken a boyfriend or two along to the LV store. First time it was my second husband at age 28. He acted appropriately. He paid that day and it was my first thrill. Then I took a boyfriend a few years later. He understood my passion, but was probably a little shocked at the prices. He was a hunter and spent scads of money on the best hunting stuff and I tried to pretend to be interested so he did the same. I took another boyfriend a few years later and he said something close to what you just said, sort of like "the cost of that purse if more then two truck payments" he said it loud, others heard. I saw him in a whole new light that day and the relationship ended soon after.
You just have to understand the passion.

There are traits I look for in friends, like reading. I just find I run out of things to say to people who don’t read, and they focus - especially women - on gossip which I have zero time for. What’s on a person’s book shelf usually tells me anything I need to know about them.

I’m vaping my new source more Luna and so far so good. All my other ones went online the day I got them and were daily drivers until the next one came, so they all had a couple solid weeks of use with no fails.

I’ll probably pick two to keep out, clean, box and stash the rest.

I don’t need all these mods out, really. All the new ones coming in will get tested and stashed too.

It would have to be "read" in the past tense in my case. Nowadays I mostly opt for pabulum.

Okay, I give up on catching up. I really do.

MY GOD. Like, 15 hours of unpaid overtime really sucks. I mean I could "submit' for it but I probably won't. I bet they get mad if you do.

I stayed Friday until my note taking program shut down. One of my favorite docs stayed with me, LOL. I gave him the 2 minute warning "Save your work to word, the Titanic is going down!" LOL yesterday I did something for him with new family and he said, "Oh my God, I'm so glad you are here!"

This is the doc/um, whazit called archeologist? IDK into dead rocks and stuff? His wife just died and like, I THINK he's about a decade older than the husband? Kinda looks like Santa but less kempt sorta? I made him leave with me I was like "Come on Dr. So and So if we are going to set off the alarm, let's do it together." Heh. He made me leave first, "In case." I was like, "You know the crime rate is like 15 times higher in Tucson? He was like, "Still."

I have decided he is my final marriage pick--- (I'd have to check the finances) marrying for money. But, I mean, I'm sure he's fine? In any case, of COURSE I informed the husband of this, and he was like, "You are right to do that, I think this house is going to kill me."

I'm a bit worried about him, so I did not say "Well, hurry up and do that then, so I can put it on the market!"

Still haven't opened new computer. This is fairly bad, but like, it took me about 10 minutes wandering around the house this morning (I woke before it) to find my alarm clock. I knew where it was, I knew what I was looking for, but still.... I kept wandering places like the bathroom and I NEEDED to pee, but I forgot THAT too. I also forgot to take my meds until JUST now, because like well I don't even thing I'm that feral yet, but maybe. I've spent too much time in the office to be much more than TIRED and I will have to do stuff re: my license today too, that probably takes priority over dragon.

They handed me a rather expensive headset with ONE ear thing. I HATE those. I should have mentioned I HATE those they make me feel unbalanced. Like, I may just wind up getting something from Walmart after all.

Sigh.

Absolutely! I’m reading Connelly ( detective) and have a ton of King, Gaimen, and indie books. I do like some biographies/autobiographies, zero vampire or romance.

The AD Crea landed. Nice mech squonk. And it works and can't auto fire without something or someone pushing the button (there is a clumsy lock on it not sure how much I'll use that). One thing to know is the 510 pin is not spring loaded, so it's a set and forget pin unless you change attys. Otherwise a nice feel to the surface, hits well, and feels sturdy. The only issue I have right now is this is wired and the top, to me negative, contact has a really tight spring. Hopefully that'll loosen up as I ready nicked the bottom of one wrap already.

Pretty good deal for $6.50.

I totally get it. We like what we like and we will buy it, dang it!!! The ones you bought for you and your daughter look nice. Your 2008 too. You know I was just teasing you. My wife was into those and others and had a couple. She always liked bigger purses/bags where she could carry ... well, everything a woman requires and then some. Haha, including some of my stuff too.

When her bag was packed and if she swung it, look out hahaha. Jeez, I would never even think of even suggesting my wife, or any woman, use a simple bag ... I would have been smacked lol.

I was very happy seeing her get whatever her heart desired. If it made her happy, I was happy.

I think many guys know the golden rule ... happy wife, happy life. At least they ought know lol.

I've read plenty of earlier King, a few Gaimen, Crichton, Tom Clancy, and, of course, plenty of Science Fiction: Asimov, Clarke, Heinlein, Dick, Herbert, Bradbury etc.

I have read some vampire fiction (gasp): Dracula (Stoker), Interview with a Vampire (Ann Rice), Salem's Lot (hey, King again), and Zombie fiction (World War Z ... different and much better than the movie), and this fun (and free) little zombie tale: https://www.tor.com/2013/11/13/feature-development-for-social-networking/
