Good morning shinies, I got power. I am drinking 4 day old coffee. I was at least hoping it would be hot, but of course the timer got all messed up because of the power outage.

It might be BETTER cold. I got plans for today. A bunch. Mainly cleaning the kitchen and notes.

I am very happy I have power back. I don't even really like camping THAT much. It's okay... But you kind of plan for it

You might be on to something. I've been making cold brew for a while now and it's been a pretty rewarding experience. I'm still fine tuning my process but that's part of the fun. One disclaimer - I do have power, so the cold brew is voluntary.

This trade war stuff is looking to get disruptive over the next months. Which is problematic as we try and empty all those giant warehouses in Shenzen and our costs suddenly go up. To my knowledge, none of us have unlimited resources, and rising prices during a time of panic buying is never a good thing. It'll be like price gouging before a hurricane, except in this case sorta legal.

It's hard to tell how this will work out. Buying direct from China might not be that much of a problem. Prices from FT are low enough that a 25% tax on buyers wouldn't be a huge deal. And I'm not sure how the US government would even collect that tax. Are they going to open my $4 package of o-rings and send me a bill for $1. US vendors who buy from China would have to pay it though, and pass it on to their customers. There aren't enough domestic manufacturers to fill the gap if the price of Chinese stuff goes up.

Like you said though there might be a rush on stuff before the deadline, combined with a chaotic trade war. Anything could happen.

Thinking about the 8/8/16 original "deadline" and the vendors that blew out some stock, I suspect this time many have decided to just keep selling as if nothing was happening until the bitter end, then close up shop if necessary. I'm going to follow suit, waiting for the big purges.:D

So I've had a few days with the cold steel 120 and I do very much like using it but it has a couple cons. The battery indicator is off and battery life is acceptable but not great. At least the indicator is consistent tho, when showing 1/3 used it's closer to half, 3.6v, after 3 battery changes. Now that I'm used to the smaller battery tube I find the hand feel as nice as the SL. One niggling con is I wish the fire button had a bit more resistance to it. Pros are perfect smooth threads, paint seems great, fast fire, no joystick!!!, easy carry for pocket or purse. Overall pretty happy with it so far.

Well it only took me a couple months to figure out sizing on the other phone, guessing it'll be about the same on this one. Guess I need to stick with thumbnails for the time being.
the size is ok with me but (but) both mods are ugly.;)

you should try a solo, pretty and easy on the hand.:) then again anything after those dual 18650 would feel good.
I'll not invest in any single 18650 mods, 21700 at my watts gives me very good run time and no need to carry a spare battery.

OOh I want one I like the funky looks. Where was the deal again? Is it expired?

I also have a reo grand in my cart, even though I hate squonking. I probably should not do it.

I need to do my notes but my little brother called. I really NEED to. Getting off this site SOON like yeah. Um.
