Are the Speeds only good for "really restricted MTL"? If so, they're not for me, since I like my MTL'ing kind of airy.

I have two Cthulhu 1928s and at least one Etna (boy, do I need to conduct an inventory). Just put the Kindbright Novecento in my FT cart (which is full to groaning at this point). My fingers are large, clumsy, and lacking sensation, so it remains to be seen whether I'll get on with it.

The Duetto Reborn would qualify for airy MTL, but the airhole placement is unfortunately low, resulting in a lot of backflowing vapour and condensation on top of your mod. It's my least favourite because its messy (neat freak). The others are very tight and by your own description likely unsuitable. I only mentioned them here because I thought that maybe this was the Italian connection.

The 900 can do a much looser MTL. Super small chamber. I'm putting 1.5 mm ID coils in there. The return is great though. Very smooth airflow, incredible flavor and very little heat due to the massive heatsinks and many fins. Beware of that kindbright clone since mine came with only bf pins (not a squonker, had to glue them shut). Otherwise great quality and beautiful polish. Perfect fit for this shiney thread.

For the loose MTL, Ambition Mods Spiral RDA is very nice. Larger chamber for bigger coils. Modern, intuitive posts and sunken screws plus guides for the coiling rod. Not the prettiest though. Then again, that heat sink and fins are great for chain vaping . MTL can get quite hot without. At 20 USD for the original it's budget friendly.

If you want to go downright ugly, the nectar nano offers a divine MTL that you can dial up to RL. It's only available cloned anymore, but it has a large following so fasttech is full of replacement parts. Really one of my personal favourites. I own two and enough parts to make two more:D

Did you try the galaxies? That also ticks a lot of boxes for loose. MTL. Not gonna say anything about it, plenty of people already did.

Don't buy it's descendant, the Holic. It's impossible to get a good MTL on that with all those airflow options. It really starts at RL because you cannot restrict it while maintaining proper air pressure (they miscalculated the interaction of the 5 airholes). Just threw mine out after being unable to take it apart.

Have you looked at the Hastur or Silverplay? Both are on the airier side. I tend to favor the Silverplay, just because it’s so easy to build. I had to be realistic in my stash that I would need an easy rta in the coming years. Lots of good suggestions in @AngeNZ ’s not dl/ not sooo tight mtl thread...RTAs for a restricted lung hit
I have the Hastur MTL RTA. Unfortunately, the 2mm insert I installed in it makes a vape that's a little too loose for my liking, but it seems fine otherwise. When I have the gumption, I'll pull the coil and replace the insert with the next size down.

Or are you talking about the Hastur MRDA? Bad reviews of that one.

The Silverplay is hard to find. VaporDNA has it, but they won't ship to me.

I'll have a look at @AngeNZ's thread (think I may have studied it already, in fact). Right now I'm more interested in MTL RDAs, but I need more RTAs, too.

Since I only want RDAs for squonking, the Kindbright clone will be fine for me. Into the cart it goes!

It doesn't seem to come with a squonk pin?

Again, no squonk pin that I can see.

I've got three and may get more.

Already have it, unfortunately.

Thank you for all your suggestions, @Cooperant!

on the subject of the Hussar v1 RDAs:

Ignore the uneven spacing and other errors ;) Is it better to build with the legs on the inside, or outside like I have? And how low down does your coil sit? When you have time (no rush) I'd love a pic of your deck :thumb:
What errors? Your coil looks excellent. :D
Crap ... when I saw the photo I thought you meant the Project X deck.
I need to learn HOW to read. But I have had Project X on the brain lately.
v1 it is then... 26/36 ss316L clapton at 0.5Ω 3mm ID freshly rewicked
IMG_1204v1cr.jpg

Legs inside just like the Project X. If you go outside it spreads the last wrap on each end of the coil outward. Unless you bend the legs to fit (but why do that). Easier inside.
IMG_1193v1cr.jpg
Height so the AF is hitting the bottom and lower 1/3 of the coil. Pretty low actually. Juice comes out from the BF pin then is directed outward to the wicking on the sides. Versus traditional BF RDA's where juice just squirts upwards. So yeah, your coil can still go lower if desired.
IMG_1199v1cr.jpg
I've tried the coil a little higher and it wasn't to my liking. Also tried it lower and that was ok. I like it where it is now best.

@Zazie , if you are looking for some really good RDA's you can squonk or drip with...

Have a look see at the Hussar v1 RDA, NarEA, Haku Venna, Apex, Parvum and Flave. All are at FT.
I have them and they are excellent. You like an airy draw, those would work and you can tighten the AF down further if desired. Likewise you can open them up for a restricted DL to DL.

Hey shiny people !
For the Bottom Feeders here...
Eric is closing REOs Mods and has some fantastic sales.
I really wanted a P67 but can't swing it right now - sigh...
But I did get a RED 2.1LP Mini and a Black Delrin Button Cover

The end of the road

OK everybody, it's after 6 PM and time to go back and undo all of ShowMe's x's.
For some reason this reminded me of when I was in grade school. The pranks. And I was THAT kid who could just look at a teacher and be in serious trouble. Class clown. The works. But in my defense if they didn't teach me at a fast pace I got bored ... real fast.

I already made note of your earlier suggestions of these, and they've all been in the cart for a while. It's well over $400 now.

Whoops, except for the NarEA. Which would you recommend: the YFTK or the SXK?

I'm sorry I forgot I already suggested those.

I bought the SXK NarEA. It is a serious flavor banger. Right up there with any I have.

Not an RDA but do you have the Coppervape Dvarw MTL RTA? It is so easy to build on. I think you might like it. FT has that and also the spare insulators for it (which I bought too). And spare tank sections.

My cart is getting up around there too.

The Origen little is an awesome tiny little RDA very flavorful and squonkable.

I agree with you whole heartedly... stellar flavor was quite easy by design in this small package. When they first came out (late summer 2015 IIRC) I bought 4 of them. In their day I used them with wide open air driving dual super sub Ω coils on mech mods. Only draw back was the restricted draw for DL.

Old pictures of them with big bore Siner DT's... these with them on Reo Mini 1.0's that they looked like they were made for, but I also had them on Reo 2015 Woodvil's and P67's as well sometimes.

All but two of my Reo Mini's... (two more mini Woodvil's are not in this pic).

Perfect - thank you  I was doing inside legs with the v1. My coil may be a lil high, I'll check that next wicking. Using the winder on the coil master has made anti-clockwise coils and clapton coils an absolute breeze. You and @DeloresRose have my thanks for that tip :thumb:

Today’s shiny mail...Copper vape clone, Topside, and Ram. Plus another Bunker. That blue Topside is so much nicer looking in person than online.

    @charlie1465 Nice! Love that color.

Great score. +3 on the Topside (my 3 are still in my rotations that will soon be a year since I got them).

I attacked my Luna today with coconut oil. Most impressed with the results - it's hard to see in pics, but it really deepened and brightened the purple & blues. The hardest part was keeping my other Luna out of the tub of coconut oil ;)

Is it suitable for airy MTL'ing?
It is indeed, you can dial it right down to super tight. The AFC ring is dual hole but it can be used single as well. It's a very versatile 16mm RDA.

The holes go all the way around the top cap base.
