The rectangle wire came today. I'm sold. This stuff is amazing! Clouds like clapton wire bit ramps up fast. Thanks @Hightech Redneck for the info.View attachment 847177 View attachment 847179
This shirt also came in the mail :) I saw it and had to get it lol. Pretty shiny day for me...View attachment 847181
Yeah i like it, most dont realize the rectangle is different than ribbon.
I actually rebuilt the passage with some instead od the quad core, wanted to use less power. Typically much faster ramp and cool down since its just a single wire but much more surface area than round. Anyway, glad to hear ya like it.

Yeah I didn't know it was until somebody told me. This is so much easier to work with. This may end up replacing a lot of my Clapton wire in my attys. Except the hex cores. I still need to get some of tuat Octo core wire. I am hoping it is wider and flatter than the hex.

Awesome idea. Wish our country would follow suit.

That's one of the reasons my doctor friend called me for vape device recommendations. She is an addiction specialist at BMC hospital and said that their harm reduction researcher found it a good idea. That is until our governor botched up the works. Come to find out through her that he also won't follow through on his opioid crisis campaign. He gets kudos for supporting it but the public doesn't realize that detox is only the first step. My friend told me that the aftercare is extensive involving amputations due to gangrene caused by multiple daily fentanyl injections.

Im slightly concerned about not having to be verified to sell. Hope there are no issues but seems possible.

I think it’ll be a situation where I’d buy from people I ‘know’ but I doubt I’d sell there without any way to control who could buy.

I got stiffed by people with no feedback on eBay a few times before they allowed sellers to block low or bad feedback buyers. The seller still has to pay auction and bid fees, whether the buyer follows through or not, and getting those fees back is a nightmare, takes forever if you ever do.

I always thought "flat" is just another name. I'm interested to know what the difference is between ribbon, rectangular and flat wire...?
Ribbon is just what it is, ribbon wire that is 0.1mm thick and used as a wrap instead of a standalone coil.

Such as the wraps on these Juggerknot coils.

But we did use ribbon wire with Silica or Ekowool back in the day on gennys.

A friend of mine had a bone density scan and came back rather poor. Her doc is giving her some yearly injections. I guess it’s helping a lot. Sorry, can’t recall the name of it.

thanks I’ll ask my doctor if I need those injections if it’s low. It just surprises me that I broke it at all. I mean I did land at an odd angle but still. I’m in my mid 50s not 80s. Thanks for that information!

That is heartwrenching. US politicians are the definition of ineffectual and selfish. Feel like they've just reverted to the same tyranny that started the American war of independence.

Damn my memory must be playing tricks with me... Maybe it was the juice flow screw adjustment or something. I wasn't paying particular attention as I didn't need to.

Anyway hope watching the videos clarified a few things and you've got it wicking like a champ. Sorry for any confusion.... Note to self. Before engaging mouth check that brain is in gear

Your memory ain't playing tricks. A lot of ppl who aren't using the Riviera as a bf RDTA use Todd's mesh wicking option:

and in that method - no cotton wick goes near the holes

PS You get to blame all errors you make in the next 6 months on 'Chemo Brain ' after that it reverts back to 'Charlie's Brain' ;)

The recovery is slow and tedious. Today I’m in a lot of pain for some reason and my hip/thigh are a bit swollen. No redness or warm to the touch so I don’t think it could be a blood clot. I take aspirin 2 times a day and do all kinds of exercises to prevent clots 3 times a day. The visiting nurse or physical therapist is coming tomorrow so I’ll mention it to them. I’m DEFINITELY getting a bone density test after this to see if I need to take certain supplements. Thanks for asking about it.

Trust me, broken bone repairs are all about one step forward, two backwards

Don't stress about blood clots - between the meds and you moving about, they are under control. It will just be bruising coming through and bone pain. I still had bruising coming through 4 weeks after surgery, 5 weeks after the fractures. Inflammation and pain are how our bodies repair themselves - it hurts, so we don't move that part as much ;)

So Ribbon wire has a thickness of 0.1mm and width of 0.3mm - 1.0mm

Flat wire thickness is over 1mm and width of whatever you like, and I think it's sometimes made from hammering round wire?

Rectangular wire is FATTER and squarer and beefier ;)

Feck it, I'm spamming again

Anyway - test drove my new espresso machine this morning. Sheer bliss  Strong espresso, foams milk brilliantly and is well worth the expense :D

Also stuck a ss316l 0.68mm*0.27mm flat wire 5 wrap 2.5mm id coil in an RDA. Came out bang on 0.25 Ohms. It's vaping amazingly on the squeeze 2 in TC mode. Flavour galore and it's a cool vape

Every time I check AVS for flat wire they're always out of stock for .8mm x .2mm Where else should I look, Kaybee?
    Kaybee has .9 x .3, also a .8 x .1 ribbon.
    SS316L Stainless Steel Rectangle Wire - 0.9*0.3mm

AVS has been out of that wire for a while and only have the .5.

Also just to throw this out there. The first spool of .8 x .2 i got was from FT.
