@bigbob2322 how's that Aegis squonk working out for you after several more weeks. It's on my "should I" list and it's a Saturday without a pending order other than more juice as folks are still shipping to NY while the injunction is in place.
I have had no problems with it, and kinda like the the solid spine they sent to turn it into a regular slightly bigger Solo mod, but I really think Geekvape should have made this a 21700. If you do pick one up just get the mod alone because pairing it with the Tengu wasn't a good idea, I like the Tengu but you need a low build in it to bring out peek performance and if you do that say goodbye to battery life. I think it looks good as a regular mod also.

Someone was asking earlier about a side fire tube mod. I'm looking for one to. This one caught my eye. There's a whole range of funky colours to...
$30.43 (Free Shipping) Authentic Cool Vapor Takit Mini V2 Mechanical Mod (Takit Mini V2, Silver + Green) at m.FastTech.com
I guess it depends on why they want a mech --- if it is to avoid electronics which can malfunction, then mosfet/pcb mods like these wouldn't be suitable. There are a few true mech side fire mods (like the Bestia already mentioned), but I have no experience with any as of yet.

If a mosfet/pcb is acceptable, then the least expensive one I am familiar with is the Atto clone on FT:

$14.90 SXK Atto Styled 18350/18650 Mechanical Mod - stainless steel at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

I've had one for a few years, and even though I've gotten a couple other side-fire mosfet tubes (Cthulhu, Ultroner), this is the one that has stayed in rotation.

Thanks Charlie, and I hope you’re doing okay today. View attachment 849251

Top left, project bag, top right, WIP (work in progress) and bottom, full sets of double pointed needles.

Most knitting you go from right to
Left and then turn it over when you get to the end of the row. With socks, you knit in the round, so to speak. So there isn’t a cap On one end of the Needle to stop stitches from falling off. They’re pointed on both ends. You can see that in the sock on the left.

This is my favorite brand because they match my stabwoods, lol.
Sounds complicated.... I used to be able to to knit and crochet when I was a child but now I've forgotten. I've always wondered how socks are done... So you really do knit a tunnel

Love the socks.... Look great for a hard winter :D

Oh right, I've seen that. Thank you.

Did you see that vertical coil RDA I posted a few pages back?(these pages fly quickly, lol). If so, what do you think of it? I was intrigued by the design. Maybe I should try to find a review. And don't ask me it's name:facepalm:
I remember the post but not the deck. I'm happy with my oumier vls with vertical coil installed. I don't drip often and squonk less often so didn't pay much attention Muth. Have a couple clone single coil flavor banger rdas so not worried about those for gear stash. Might pick up a few more down the road.

Yeah, I saw the videos and know the story. If you watch the DRv2 video, he explains and defends some of it. He put out a more comprehensive video explaining and defending his self below. I have a DR also, but the v2 looks really nice. I am definitely tempted.

Never liked the guy or his reviews.
Like he says Mind over Matter...

I never ever got on with the VLS with either vertical or horizontal coils. Those posts have a ton of metal in them to retain heat and the non existent airflow adjustment for vertical builds was horrible. Even with the airflow going through the posts on a horizontal build it wasn't really that adjustable.

I have a VLS and I've tried single coil, dual horizontal coils and dual vertical coils. For me it's a meh rating. I like a lot of airflow so it is too restricted for me. Flavor is just ok. I have other RDAs I like much better.

I learned how to knit and crochet as a child too, but I only kept up with the crochet. When I wanted to learn socks I had to l arm everything again. YouTube to the rescue, lol.

Just one of my many rabbit holes.

Part of it reminded me of the customer we had one time in the repair shop pissing and moaning about how he had to pay $35K in income taxes that year... Told him he paid more in taxes than I earned, so yeah buddy, I feel for you...

I turn the af to the sides rather than going through the af holes for vertical, very good flavor with a chunky coil; doesn't get nearly as hot. Have a staggered 4 mm in it now, great for a warm sweet tasting juice.

That was me :). I didn’t see any reviews or discussions on FT on the mod. Do you know anything about it? I’ll save the link and see if I can find reviews. TY for remembering one of us was searching!

Alot of people are calling it a cash grab.
It is very similar to the drop dead, which i have a couple of and I like it.
If it has similar flavor etc it should be good.

Heathen caught ALOT of flak about putting no videos or social out about the state of vaping. The only video he did was this rdas presentation, and caught so much grief he posted a video about the rally etc..
But caught more grief because he made statements like we should blow a massive cloud in DC so they have no choice but to notice us. Uh thats not the kind of attention we want.

Anyway after all that i quit looking at the DRv2 and decided im good with my drop dead. I could change my mind if its a mind blowing rda, but i dont see it being much better than my dd.
Here is a pic of the dd i googled, you may do better to search one out as it would be cheaper since it has been out a while. But if you get the v2 update us as i am curious but doubtful.

I think the thing I like so much more about the dead rabbit compared to the drop dead is the airflow being angled down. The drop dead i have I could never get into using I figure because the air flow is too high and I don’t enjoy the vape I get from it. Too turbulent and I don’t get much flavour to be honest.

I do love the drop though. The dead rabbit and the drop are awesome but their child the Drop dead is not for me.

This one doesn’t seem to have the airflow angled down... just seems like a drop dead without the honeycomb style airflow.

I didn’t buy it because of the single 18650. That wouldn’t last me very long especially on a regulated mod.

Iirc she was looking for side fire. I only have one, a clone from FT. Now that I think about it I never even fired it up. I disliked it, felt really cheap. But I should try it out anyway. You never know.

Took me a while to catch up this morning. I had a bad fibro day yesterday. Checked the mail then hit the couch. I got my flat wire and some knitting needles

We found my mom’s needle collection when we cleaned her apartment out. She had pairs in every size up to broom stick. I’m trying to figure what we should do with them. They could go in the donate pile but it just seems there’s a better solution. I’m going to ask at the local yarn store, see if they have any ideas. I only use sock needles -dpns- and these are straights so they’re no help to me, but I may keep them just the same.
Maybe pick out some and frame them in a shadowbox. If she had an unfinished knitting piece, maybe you could use that as the background.
