@Sloth Tonight didn't realize you run a lodge/bed & Breakfast up there. That has to be tough with the wild weather you had. Glad your guests don't mind. The hospitality business is hard enough without dealing with storm damage and power losses. I'm glad your wife will finally get a break and get some sleep after that storm.

@AngeNZ I ordered a Riviera on your recommendation. I figure I love my Venna, so why not add to the family?

Also ordered some more batteries, decided to give the Molicel's a shot thanks to their recommendation from Mooch and general happiness from folks around here with them. Also hit up AVS for some more wire, and giving their hex core a shot. I haven't tried them before. So I guess I did OK for generating some inbound stuff to look forward to.

I think I'm going with the SQ Topside mech over the Aegis squonk. I'm just waiting to hear from Signature if the price they have is without the VAT already or it's pre-VAT deduction. Hopefully I'll get a reply to my email soon. Wouldn't mind getting that next week.

And don't forget to reset the few clocks you have that aren't going to automatically update. I hate the time change. Throws me off for days adjusting to it.

Yeah, I run a small resort. Storms and power loss are one of my biggest stresses, so I'm quite relieved we didn't have any more damage than we did, and that the guests have been troopers :)

I thought she was all settled in for a relaxing night, and BAM - just a moment ago - another call, off she goes.

Thanks for the reminder about the time change. I agree, it always throws me off balance for a few days. At least this is the one where we get an extra hour of sleep though.

If you love the Venna, you will love the Riviera. For me, it's a less restricted Venna on steroids ;) And you can help us figure out why it's so damn thirsty

    What a day :w00t:

Still no power, earliest we can expect power appears to be Monday. Almost ran out of fuel for the generator, and the company's emergency line was down -

Finally got ahold of them, got fuel. Had two new check-ins, which were understanding of the situation and consider it an adventure. It's a major relief that all my guests are cool with not having full power. They congregate in the lodge at night (which does have mostly full power) to chat by a fire and charge their electronics.

We had a dry hydrant installed! This has been a painstaking political process to get it approved by the very opinionated steering committee, but after two months of debate it was approved and today was the day it got installed. Went very well. Couple finishing touches next week, then we're all set, and the property is just a little bit safer in the event of a fire :nun:

Hopefully we'll never need it though

Now to finish work, get a shower, and count our blessings. This was the worst storm since Hurricane Irene in the Adirondacks. So happy all friends/loved ones are safe. And hopefully these wonderful people from the FD can get a good night's sleep tonight after working day and night the past 2 days, then installing the hydrant this afternoon.

Hope all you shinies have a great day/night ahead

I miss the Adirondacks. I lived about 30 minutes from Lake George for a year. Worked at the Sagamore resort and hotel. My uncle has 300 acres on the side of a mountain, been in the family for several generations, that's where I stayed when I lived there. Funny how it can be -20 in New York state, and 25 in Texas, and it feels colder to me when I'm in Texas. Could be age related I guess, or acclimatization or something. One of the things I miss the most was the changing of the seasons, when the leaves turn in the fall. I don't miss blackflies biting in the spring, or the thaw making a mud pit out of everything.

I’m enjoying this Vandy Vape Pulse quite a lot. Not as easy on the battery as the Luna, but it hits nice. Would be a good substitute when you don’t want to bring the Luna. For $20 I wouldn’t cry if it broke, but it seems sturdy enough.
Thank you!!! Your post reminded me to order a second one. Done. :) When I go out and about it's with either a Pulse, a Luna or VapeAMP squonker.

Is that the mechanical mod ? Silver around the 510 connection and big silver button? I was gonna get that or the Hugo squeezer they were the same price and I eventually decided on the squeezer for all the extras it came with. I was wishing I got the pulse instead.

You made the right decision. Vandy Vape is garbage. Vandy Vape is also a horrible company to deal with.

Ah I was thinking of the Vandy vape pulse BF squonk mod.

    Don29palms

Oh bad experiences ? I love my jackaroo and bonza haven’t had too many of their products though.

My Hugo squeezer turned out to be a big pain after a little drop in my living room it started going downhill and I had to use a sealer and special glue from my work to get it to stop leaking inside from the squonk system. Thought it was the bottle at first but turned out to be the plastic piece connected to the brass part. Got refunded from the shop the other day for it now I’m getting a topside instead for a squonk mod.

I don't have a topside but everyone I know that does thinks it's great.

    Good morning shinies :D

Vaping one of the BB's with the FA Queen from their Pazzo one shot range. They suggested 7% but it had no flavour at that percentage so ended up at 15%. It's a nice subtle fruit flavour at that level.... Clever mix actually as its difficult to identify what fruit it is.... Some kind of red fruit... Maybe some cherry in there somewhere.

Have a lovely lazy Sunday guys..... Especially @Sloth Tonight sounds like you've been through the mill

    Good morning shiners!

I don't have a topside but everyone I know that does thinks it's great.

@Ricky Vapes I will add to as another satisfied customer with the topside. A very nice regulated squonk. One tip on it, when you fill it from the top, don't fill to the very top of the bottle. You need to leave a little bit of room to screw the top plug cap on. If you overfill and then insert the plug, you'll push too much pressure into the bottle and potentially cause a leak. Other than that, it's as easy as you can get.

@Don29palms helped point out to me while I was sitting waiting on a reply to my emailed question.that Signature has sold out of the SQ Topside. Now I'm bummed. Hopefully they'll restock soon, and hopefully they wont be the only vendor for it.
