It's a very loose recipe really.

I get six 28oz cans of tomatoes, usually 2 cans of whole and the remaining 4 cans being a mix of diced and crushed. I blend the two whole cans in a vitamix/blender, then combine them all in a big pot. Then I sautee at least 2 large sweet potatoes, along with a mix of whatever else I want--usually onion, peppers, zucchini, etc--and toss them in the pot.

I add 1/2 tsp of salt (not a big salt fan, but could add more), 4 tablespoons of sugar, and an absurd amount of black pepper and oregano, basil, whatever else. Simmer for 2 hours then put in roughly 4 cups of heavy cream or whatever kind of milk product you prefer (I've been using almond milk lately, the nuttiness is great). Continue simmering until it boils again, then feed the family and don't forget the pooch

I've also been known to blend a sweet potato into the tomatoes during the blender step. A vitamix (or similar product) is needed for this, and it's best to sautee it first. Either way, this is really a sweet potato/tomato soup. And it's awesome, IMO.
Sounds great but you forgot 1 thing. Garlic bread to go with it.

Off to try that with the SILVERPLAY I was uncertain if it was an inside/outside thing. here goes. I JUIST got done with the family stuff SO STRESSFUL.

I swear... Kids. You get one good and traumatized (and no I will not downplay my PART IN that although I appear to be the one person who has NEVER traumatized the kiddo) and EVERY time their brain grows, it's like a MESS all over again. I am always reassuring. I am always like, "I acknowledge my responsibility in this part." I am always like, "How can I be of assistance, within reason, I mean no, I'm not divorcing my husband who is mostly IMPROVING just so you can feel safe because he was a turd when you were 10--13." "How can I help you?" "What do you need to say/do? LOL this time when I was like, "Dude, IDK I'm your mom, I'm a part of this, I have granted your request to meet you and hand over the little DOG he is your DOG, dude, I have granted your request to like, spend vacations with you alone...." He was like, "I should get therapy I need to talk to someone about it."

LOL I was proud. Then I send all the reassuring ones "I'm not mad at you honey, NO on is mad at you. Yes, it's okay to have bad feelings, yes it's okay to tell me them, secret keeping is not healthy, yes you are allowed to have an authentic relationship with a person, yes, you are allowed to have no relationship with a person, etc.."

I should keep those freaking texts for next time. Although we are nearing the end, he seems to be about 8 years behind! BOO to bio daddy and his evil deeds, and YAY to stepdaddy for his EVIL DEEDS he is UP."

LOL maybe I am last in line that would be AWESOME cuz I could just sit there being evil and kid and WHOMEVER could have the text exchanges.

But yea, they're like the same every time. I should save them somewhere I could just change names. .Save me some time. Silverplay should be EASY. LOL.

Heh Silverplay was NOT easy, what does "jam down the cap as far as I can mean because doesnt' it SCREW in or at least SIT properly like, so the actual glass cap goes on.

It is just like Aliens. I should watch a video. Probably.

Anna

Oooh I am drinking my last Starbucks energy beverage. I hope I have a headache later because this would be enough cause an effect. Though technically like I had one but I bet it could always get worse.

Check to see if the wick cage is flush with the deck and it’s screw on top is all the way on. On a couple of mine, the first build the cage was super tight. A little pg helped

I feel your pain. My stepson is old enough now we just give him money. I also just send my son money and he takes care of the grandkids for us.

Just wait till college...I think that was by far the most expensive time. Two are done and working, the middle is in grad school. Thank goodness she’s married and off the payroll. Halfway through the masters, then PhD to go.

Amen, Mel. Got one done a few years ago- married, productive, self sufficient, and very successful, just bought his second house.

My other in his 6th year of college toward a 4 yr degree. But I cut him off after 5, as I'd warned him after year 2. I made him to take out a loan to pay moving forward after 5, so I'm only on the hook for his free rent this year.

Man, it's nice not to be paying for college after about a decade of it!

So I think I broke my Siilverplay down to ALL it's component parts, I call it "broken" and Tim Gunn would call it "disconstructed" but we all know he means, " That's an ugly mess right there, Anna." I can get EVERYHING apart except for the cap, because I have a smidge of rayon in there.

AND YES! Starbucks equals headache. I am able to return to work on Friday and no one "wants" anything from me. I believe I MAY have a shot of like, everyone leaving me ALONE, even the ferret. But who knows. I guess I'll see.

But, they are not doing mean things like saying "Oh, go drug test" etc. Just goes to show. IDK what it goes to show. I really want to build my silverplay but something also told me, like, just leave it be while you muse deeply on it. I think I'm gonna do yoga. I am also lonely but frightened of people. Not a good combo.

Oh, l guess once I get back to work after a while it will be okay. I am just having a "poor me" day. Sigh.

Our nest emptied last year, leaving us with more funds for this last gasp of shinyitis. My son always hated mowing the lawn, which he did once in a while at home. He now has more lawn than I do lol.
I'm weird, but I barely taught mine (both boys) to do the lawn. Just the legal minimum for a father. That's always been my therapy, and they couldn't take it from me! I-pod, earbuds, and yard work, followed by a few smokes (now vapes) & beers, all by myself. And I've been accused of having a lawn disorder, but I'm not on top of it as much as I once was.

I’ve never seen straw at a normal pet store, like PetCo, but if you have a farm supply type place nearby they should have it. I live out in the country so we just ask around or call the grain elevator, there’s always a farmer selling it.
    Thank you :)

Mi Papa loved to garden. I have a black thumb so he put me to work on the pruning, lawnmowing etc. skills. It is rather therapeutic but also not necessarily something you want your manly spouse to know, just like he may not want YOU to know he's a good cook. Kinda..

We were selling the crack house and it was lot so sort of "semi casually" I was like, "Cool cool, I will do the yards today."

The husband was freaked but like, l was all calling tools by their correct names an gassing up the lawnmower and stuff, so he couldn't do much.

By the time he got home, I was up in trees, either pruning dead branches, or lassoing them like, for fun.

When we get our own LAND I will not grow food. But I may make nature beautiful and safe. That or buy two horses and teach that man to ride. Or both.

Eventually I will be doing more things but right now I am not..

I should start. I'm just such a misanthrope. I need to get OFF that particular pot.

Thanks Charlie. This is my beast and that’s when my baby niece came to visit uncle one day. She was so excited to be on the big loud forklift and she calls it uncles truck haha I guess she figures I drive that around everywhere
