Well...this will likely be one of the last entries in my lost Armageddon saga...putting this reply email here for posterity. And I hate to sound mad about it, I’m not really mad about it, but this did leave a sour taste in my mouth.
Here’s what happened:
1) ordered Armageddon 11/18
2) item got lost, no shipping updates since 11/24
3) I contacted FL Vapor Supply about it, they said it has “ins,” to wait a few days and see if it moves in the USPS system
4) I contact them again a few days later, FLVS says it might have been damaged or lost
5) I open a file for a missing package
6) yesterday I received a phone call (!!!) from my local USPS, they give me instructions on how to file a claim
7) I cannot file a claim because according to USPS, the item is not insured.
8) I contact FLVS asking them if the item was insured or not, including screenshots of the email wherein FLVS says it was insured, and the USPS site claiming it was not insured.
9) this morning I receive this from FLVS:
“it looks like you picked first class mail and that dosnt have insurance. if you want it shipped ups pick the priority option in shipping and put a note you want it shipped ups”
Exactly that, no apologies; heck, only one piece of punctuation. I might have even considered buying another one if they had said anything remotely disappointed for my behalf.
I’ll see if USPS gets back to me about it, as I did send another query. If it’s lost, I get it, stuff happens. I was just in customer service for so long, I don’t understand replies like that.
