Talking about flat wire. I need to find a better SS flat wire. The .68×.27 316L I use ramps up way to slow...need to go thinner, but to thin has its own problems.
Or just turn up the power a little... ;)

You could take the 0.1mm ribbon wire and stack it on top of itself, still be a PiTA, easier to turn up the power on what you have now. Try setting the mod to H(ard) or creating a curve that hits for 5 or 10W over your chosen level for the first second.

I remodel homes and do handyman repairs. I wear many hats, plumber, framer, drywall, painter, lots more. I do emergency repairs also. I get a call, and I'm moving, or I don't get paid. Not a life saving occupation, but a time-sensitive one. I can work multiple 18 hour days, or go days, or a week, with nothing to do. Schedules are impossible things, unless they relate to a job at hand. Never thought I'd be doing what I do, the way I do it, ten years ago. Life is funny that way, destroying and rebuilding our beliefs. if I were a medical professional, at least I'd have some retirement benefits to look forward to, maybe a health plan. That's less important to me than the right now, right here stuff though. Deleted and edited out all sorts of other junk I was going to post here. Peace Charlie. :)
I wish you lived here.

Nah I don't want to turn up the power. I like a coolish vape. The problem is with the ramp up time. Also I aim for 0.5ohm most of the times. That brings another problem...the amount of wraps is way to much for some of my set ups. This is for a 3.0mm 0.5ohm coil. See that heat capacity...its going to take ages to ramp up..

The only silution I see is a thinner wire...but that is flimsy and difficult to pull cotton in and out. I like things simple. Don't want to fuss with stacking wires really...;)

I’m sure this lot will do their best to distract you with shiny things to help pass the time. And your positive attitude is a huge asset. It’s just a shame Mrs. Charlie can’t stay somewhere close by. That’s got to be really hard for her. Hugs for you both.
Thanks Delores....yes it's a worry that my wife has to come so far and all the way through this ordeal she's been where my main concerns lie. She's my angel

Stem cells today and of course more stealthy vaping from time to time. I'm using the swag 2 along with its charging ability to keep batteries up to snuff and also have one of my bb's here too.....I need to do a rewick but keep putting it off as it's a little bit risky :D

I suppose a question is why does it have to be 0.5 ohm? Even on a mech you can build to say 0.3 ohm (or lower if you have 30A batteries as even 0.3 ohm only will draw 14A). If you use fewer wraps your ramp up time will considerably decrease and you'll still get a nice vape from it once you dial in the power that's a best fit. On a regulated mod, resistance really doesn't matter, other than being within the range of the board, as you set the wattage, the coil doesn't "set" the current draw..

Did you get an rba head yet? I have 2 510 adapters, 2 spare pods, and 3 rbas but the mod hasn't left China yet.
I've got the Vinci X from FT on the slow boat and a mechlife rba and 2x different 510 adapters from 3f that just hopped on a different boat. The race is on

Took about 2y for me to finally quit carrying extra batteries for my two setups to work. Took almost 3y to quit carrying a second setup just to run to a store here in town. I think you showed admirable restraint Ange. I'd have taken half my stash and left the other half with my uncle incase I needed an overnight delivery.
Traveling cross country (in car) was a hoot for me. I had three rigs with me. We stayed in a hotel each night (because my daughter refused to drive and 8 hours was all I wanted to do)
My most important bag, wicks and coils, tools, juice, 6 spare batteries, charger for the six I was about to take out ONLY the charger was only a four bay so I had to wake up mid way through the night to remove charged ones and replace with uncharged ones. My daughter also vapes but she had to handle her own gig.

I still never leave home without at least two. I mean, what if one broke and then the car broke and then no one could come for hours...

The kelpie is one of my favorites. Do note that it’s a slide fill top though. I’ve never had one leak, but those slide fills can easily be opened unintentionally. Some RTAs, I can put right in my jacket pocket, not this one.
I have both the Kelpie and the Gear in my cart at FT. Both of which I have heard you speak of. Which one is better in your opinion because I know I will only buy one of them. But of course I will buy two of the one that I buy.

Has anyone here used the Prohibition brand e-liquid? I think I have seen @Tralfaz post pics of it maybe? I love that brand. So far, I have used Speakeasy - Root Beer Float, Ridin' Shotgun - Golden Cookie Pudding, and I just got this one, 18th Amendment - Fresh Fruit & Cream. OMG is it good! Highly recommend this brand. At least the flavors I mentioned.

I am a big fan of Riding Shotgun and Sin Tax. Always have them on hand. I have not tried Speakeasy because it is not my thing. I will have to look into the other

I gotta try the Sin Tax. Signature blend of sinfully smooth peanut butter, sweet caramel, and creamy vanilla custard. It sounds luscious.
