Picking up a heater after work tomorrow. In the meantime I have a couple good lap warmers.

I got mine in the mail today. It was scheduled for Saturday delivery, that was quick shipping. Haven't tried it out yet, but it looks nice, and feels good in the hand. It's not a brick, but it has some weight to it. The squonk bottle takes a firm press, but that's how I like it. This brings me up to 3 dual battery regulated squonkers now. I'm happy with the purchase, especially for the low price I paid for the two I ordered.
Yeah I also like a firm press and I'm actually really surprised the rda has good flavor you just have to build the coils up high lol. I'm thrilled with it! Glad we got in on it :)

Spent some time playing with the b2k this morning

3mm id, 1.0 x 0.14mm kanthal 5 wraps - 0.63ohms
View attachment 864211
This coil was great, but took a teeny tiny tad to ramp up on a Luna - and I didn't have it low enough for the airflow to hit properly. So I did a similar coil, but with 4 wraps spaced, and I cut off more of its legs ;)

It came out at 0.52ohms and it turned the B2K into sheer flavour bliss. Airflow is hitting the bottom of the coil perfectly now, instead of hitting underneath the coil. The lower resistance has killed the ramp up time as well.

It is a cool vape - even with the metal cap on. But yes, I have tried out every other cap too - cuz I can ;)

For my frankenvaping style - with the airflow 2/3 open, a 510 drip tip - this is bliss

Thank you @TrollDragon & @Fredman1 for the tips and tricks. And especially you TD, for raving about this RDA. It's my first authentic high end RDA and I absolutely love it
Congrats, it's an awesome RSA!

I use 3.5mm or 4mm SS316L coils in mine, either flat 0.8mmx0.3mm or parallel 26ga under TC on the DNA squonkers. If you find a thin metal ring in the box, it allows you to close off half of the airflow slot horizontally, you just put it on the base before you put the top cap on.

Nailed it in one, my dear. I partially felt as I couldn't be be a "mover and shaker" that I couldn't realistically contribute. Call it male pride, us Scots are funny folk.
I'm not far away. if i can be of vape assistance do let me know. good to see you back.

morning all.

Me too... :) It says “processed through facility”...there’s a lot of activity on the parcel showing on 17TRACK. I hope I’m not being naive. Either way...the Billet is a luxury purchase...I’ll get it when I get it. I’m just glad I made the purchase. I had a feeling I’d be on that train even though I denied it for a while. :)
Aah...many people have been in denial about their true direction and need for a Billet Box :D

Thought long and hard about digging the B2K decks out, but have a case of the crud so passed.

The dot is mostly ready to go. Have found almost all the doors, just want to open it and be sure it's ready.

Found out 2 of my batteries are dead. Oh well, more flashlights.
Just a heads up that the dotshell will be back in stock by the end of January. You can't pre-order but you can reserve if you join there FB group.

Hope that's useful to you :)

Good evening, all ye purchasers of reflective vaping goodies. Long time, no chat.

Apologies for the long term absence. Contrary to rumour, I have not just been released from incarceration, nor have I disgraced myself by falling completely off the vaping wagon, although at times I have been clinging on by my fingernails. If I'm honest, the past 6 months have been pretty gruesome, my COPD and other health issues have hit me with a vengeance and I have not been the best company of late. I am now seriously struggling to walk any distance, and to cap it all, I have lost a large percentage of functionality in my right hand. I can still type, but winding a decent coil is close to impossible. Which is partly the reason why I have not been as active here, one of the loves of my life was tinkering with my drippers and tanks, and not being able to do this has hit me hard.

I have decided I am going to make a concerted effort by vaping more to get below my 5 a day roll up habit. I have a COPD review in Feb which I'm dreading, as my O2 levels are pretty skanky. How I achieve this though, may require some lateral and creative thinking.

Any one armed, self atty builders in the house?

P.S. I can still mix juice with my left hand, so you will have to continue suffering my fiendishly DIY creations.
Firstly really sorry to hear about your hand and the O2 levels. I have copd too although it's stage 2 so not too bad at the moment. You've just got to stop that 5 rollup per day thing. I'm sure you could do it fairly easily with the vaping. And you'd probably increase your oxygen levels too.

I hope I don't sound like I'm preaching but I just know how much clearer my lungs felt after quitting the cigars for vaping :)

As far as coiling goes maybe you could put your jig in a vice and do the turns with your good left hand?

Hope this helps rather than hinders :)

This is a serious long shot.

Anyone got a recommendation for an equivalent tank that matches a Wasp RDA (dripper)? Please don't say the 2ml RTA. I went RDA to escape.
I've never tried the wasp but something like the Krma or the Vienna or the narea have excellent flavour and they are easy to build. Check out the clone versions on fasttech.... clone versions are super cheap :)

PS...just type sxk in the search bar and it'll bring them up :)

There is a good chance Ange may be able to tell you the name of an RDA or two:p
She's starting to gather quite a little collection to go along with with So So Many Squonkers:shock:

And a quick Google would show you how to make it non squonk...

That worked it took awhile to see that was a screw to come out but I finally saw the Allan key it came for fit in there. It’s now a regular rda. My lights are broken because the upstairs unit flooded their place with a washing machine they aren’t supposed to have causing it to come out my roof in some spots and to pour out light fixtures like a shower. Not To happy about it.

Thanks I couldn’t find it on google I just searched if it came with a solid and not once did I see that there is a way to unscrew a tiny screw from the RDA so it can be made non Squonk.

View attachment 864271 I just put some 0.4 ohm coils in there now I’m gonna put something lower ohm in it tomorrow but I like it. I’ll check for leaks but it seemed sealed to me.
Is that a Penny Mod? I see the maple leaf, does it have a Canadian penny button?

    Good morning shiners!

@Old Greybeard welcome back and sorry for your struggles. One thing you might consider is that there are better quality brands of pre-wrapped coils out there than say several years ago. Places like AVS and Coilology are selling well made wrapped coils that can save you the trouble of winding, but still provide a quality vape.Sure, they're a bit more expensive, but with care and cleaning can last you months, making the expense quite reasonable. Just something to think about so long as you can mount them.

As for other Wasp like rdas, take a look at a NarCa or Flave clone which perform very well, and the Gas Mods GR 1 as another option. There are tons of flavorful 22 mm rdas out there so finding something you like shouldn't be too bad.

My B2K should arrive from NZ on Monday. Somehow it got marked for "sign on delivery" so I may not have it til Tuesday morning. All the talk from TrollDragon, Ange and Fredman have me champing at the bit. I can't wait - getting a bit jaded with my familiar single coil rdas so the timing couldn't be better for a new toy.

    Night all zzzzz

Hi Shinies! Haven't been around as kept getting Cloudflare fails when trying to post for some days now.

Trying to find time to review the eGrip Mini -- which is very, uhm, mini, but good if you have small hands and only have tiny jeans pockets..

They sent me the mirror shiny ( Yeah!) version which is a ....**r to photograph!

What aspects of the WASP RDA are you trying to replicate in a tank? And when you say tank do you mean an RTA? Because that I think would indeed be a long shot then again I'm pretty new to all this but I love the little wasp that's a great little guy :) and if there is indeed an RTA that's somewhat equivalent to it I would love to know about it myself

This Mach 1 Society of Vape mod with the included RDA on top is probably my favorite setup that I own.. I am so super surprised about this RDA being even somewhat decent it's just your basic two post nothing fancy not even really domed RDA and somehow it's producing for me. And I couldn't be happier about the feel of this mod I love the way it fires like I loved the ergonomics of it even though it's not particularly ergonomic looking LOL this thing just rocks I wish I had gotten a couple more
