Good afternoon shinies.....bit late today but feeling slightly better and they're telling me I am going to come out of the deliberately induced aplastic anemia soon.

Love you guys
Love back in spades Charlie. Good to hear you're feeling a little better.

afternoon all.
i can confirm that the hadron firmware has fixed the puff count issue.
i can also confirm that the sxmini windows software is still a steaming pile of rancid. the polished linux version of escribe is why I'll plump for evolv boards the vast majority of the time.
i mentioned that that I'm extremely fond of the notion mech? I'm dully (and duly) mentioning it again. a wee 0.8ohm fused, low density, clapton (despite them recommending nothing lower than 1.0) is ticking all my boxes sitting on top.
should really rewick a few atties tonight but i suspect the lazy will continue and i won't bother my ****.

Nola I was thinking maybe a tiny bit of salt on hands (after cooking?) transferred to batteries a possibility. I know it's a stretch...this mystery is intriguing.
I don’t use the duals very often. I pulled them out of their bin and inspected the interiors. I expected to find one with some evidence. Nope. The mystery continues. Based on it being on just the ends, it had to happen when they were installed. I’m miffed about the batteries though. They were relatively new. Why, oh why couldn’t it have been an aged pair???

Can't you just take some fine sand paper or steel wool and remove the corrosion?

Since I don’t know the cause, I don’t think that’s wise. I might be being overly cautious, but I lean towards better safe than sorry ;)

Good god no....you know about it pretty quick if you tried to do that on the positive terminal...puff off red hot fire and all that.

You could get away with it on the neg bat but hey I have a non conductive rule when it comes batteries. There's a lot of energy contained therein :)

 Sorry. I thought as long as you didn't make contact with + and -, no circuit created, that it wouldn't be a problem. What do I know, huh?

Lol! I’ll try not to rely on one to save me should the boat sink ;)
I agree about saltwater and it’s corrosive nature....But.... My married batteries never leave the house. And they don’t get to cat about town without their mate. Once married, they’re stuck as a pair. Duals are too heavy/bulky for toting around, so an end table in the den is as far as they get. Not sure where they’d be finding salt water, unless they’re sneaking out to Florida behind my back while I sleep. Perhaps I should be keeping a closer eye on the little buggers!
Did you use the mod they were in while watching a tearjerker?

That's correct but the outer ring on the positive terminal is so close that it would be almost impossible not to hard short it with wire wool. You may be able to use a pan scourer.....the type that's made of plastic :)

    Hello everyone,

SXK Billet Box 60w DNA and extra parts from FT are in San Francisco. I made it under the CNY window. :)

Hope y’all are having a good day. :)

Congrats - I can't wait to get your reaction to it :thumb:

I did a FT order last week, that also made it through the CNY Gauntlet. And it only contains squonk bottles
