I took the big fused clapton out the Axial and replaced it with my trusted flat wire...0.68×0.27 kanthal. 3.5mm coil and it ohms out at 0.5
Now it ramps up fast, much less spitting and better flavor...

I'll stay with this...no more fooling around.:D
I ordered one in gold for 9.99 today :)

I was wondering how it coats the coil when squonking? I love the recurve because of the way it soaks the whole coil in juice when squonking and hope the axial is similar

Uh...my allowance was burning a hole in my pocket...

So I just grabbed a DotAIO SE (Black).

Found it for $59 USD at Vapes By Enushi...

I don’t know if it was a typo, cuz they’ve got the regular DotAIO for like $98 something...I don’t know why the SE was listed so much lower, but hey...I HAVE A RECEIPT NOW. So they can’t switch the price now!

    Woohoo! Shinyitis in full effect!

Ya know...I THOUGHT this thread was a “support group” to help me STOP spending money...

But now, I see that it’s a group that supports Shinyitis, and encourages spending!

I can relate! My Smoant Charon Mini quit working, and then I got paid, SO I ordered one from FT. Then I got to looking at the Cylon and ordered one of those too. By now the wife had a frowny face, so while she was sleeping I ordered up a Geek Vape Aegis X Starter Kit with the Zeus tank from Element Vape and it'll be here tomorrow! Woohoo!

As many of both of those that I have, you’d think I’d remember how the squonk pins looked. However, my short term memory is shot, especially for things I don’t really need to focus on. I think they are similar though, and both are low to the deck and rely on wicking to bring the juice to the coil.

I just popped a squonk pin in here to show you what it looks like, hard to see though.

I’ve got to get some flat wire. Another package of Axials and accessory parts is out for delivery. I put a spaced regular coil in one to take last weekend on the trip. It was just ok, not nearly as flavorful as the clapton in the other. Really eager to try some flat in it!
In other news....Replacement “black” Punk Nano came from Central Vapors yesterday afternoon. They were a delight to deal with from the first quick response. No runaround, multiple emails... just, we’ll fix the problem and an apology. I put the gunmetal hellvape md on it for a one cycle test run before I put it in the stash. Lovely match! I’m leaning towards stashing the DB and keeping this out as my lone dual in rotation for a bit.

Well, decided to buy a shiny. Then something a little shinier, then the shiniest thing came across my bench.

So I had to decide. Drip tip? RBA? Furman line conditioner.

    Thought to myself.
Self? What would you tell someone else?

Buy all 3. Only have pic of one. View attachment 866537
    Nice!

Too bad an AudioQuest Niagara 7000 wouldn't slide across your bench. :D

    afternoon all.
work is relentless currently and there's no sign of that changing anytime soon.
    grumble over. at least outwardly.
only had the clone rebirth rda when the original was released. we didn't get on. the rta (authentic though I'm sure there's a styled available) is a different story. we're getting along famously. i nailed every atty i wound for and wicked last session (blotto, occula, rebirth and intake dual). looks alright on the SL i think

I like that, but I believe AudioQuest is return to vendor (automatically) and would have cost me more than $100.
Judging by price, probably around $1800, maybe a little less.

Just watched Mike's video on the Trilogy. I don't care for 8ml+ tanks that have no JFC, you could see the liquid dropping rapidly as he was topping it off with the bottle. Mind you the wicks were new so some of that was absorption, but I imagine the deck was flooded.

Good luck with it though, I'll stick to my 15ml Plus'.

The markup on gear is crazy.
Thankfully I just work in a vape shop and get wholesale pricing, I could just image working at a headphone shop like B&H or Audio46... :D

That is quite sharp looking with the B2K!

I still haven't found a build I'm happy with in the B2K. I don't really like the feel of the heat sink on my lips but without it it's getting too hot. Maybe upping the resistance is the go. Can you post a photo of a setup that works well for you @TrollDragon ? So many options with the various peripherals in the kit.

I stay away from the high end headphones. Bought Bose NC 700's just for here. Spent about 10% of cost on most gear. Finally done.

Actually testing headphones today since I'm caught up. Nothing special has come across yet.

As soon as my juice comes in (restocking) I'll put my daily B2K/Inbox back into rotation and take some pics for you.

I run all my B2Ks on DNAs under TC as I have never found a single coil build that I like for a mechanical or unregulated squonker. My default builds on the B2K are either a (7/6 wrap) 4mm 0.8x0.3mm SS316L flat wire coil or a (8/7 wrap) 3.5mm 24ga SS316L coil. I try to keep my heat flux value around 250 so it's anywhere between 45W and 55W with 420F using Jaquith's UD SS316L V4 csv file for the wire. (A little hotter than the stock SS316L profile.)

Sadly the files are no longer on the hosting site, but I can share it if you wish.

The Bose NC 700 and Sony WH-1000XM3 are the top dogs for ANC these days, possibly until the WH-1000XM4
    drops ;).

I don't play in the Bluetooth arena except for gaming on the PS4. I was going to pick up the Audeze Mobius but it wasn't fully supported I went with the Steel Series Wireless Pro instead. I'm still looking for a wireless solution for the Nintendo Switch that has pass through charging.

For music though, it's wired headphones only.

It’s getting to be a Real pita with some vendors not shipping hardware to Massachusetts. I’ve actually emailed them explaining there is a FLAVORED VAPE BAN not a hardware ban.

I’ve received a few lame responses about not being able to separate out inventory which is bull crap because there are several vendors doing EXACTLY that. It just takes an IT tech to Mark flavored juice the all hardware should be available.

With the number of states going with non flavored juice they re responsible for their own short sightedness and with the decrease in juice and hardware sales they will put themselves out of business. And it’s their own fault for not staying ahead on the IT front

And to make matters worse for me & others, New Jersey is implementing a flavored ban in 3 months supposedly. My sister and a friend in that state have been my go to for shipping. So now what. I have a friend in North Carolina but he’s got liver cancer and I’m certainly not bothering him although he’d gladly accept the shipments and resend to me.

oh and I figured out how to start a new USPS CLICK N SHIP account for my NJ friend so all I do is email or message her the paid shipping label. She only needs to tape it over the existing label and leave for the mail carrier. Easy peasy.

I hope this help some others. I may go on an email spree to vendors who don’t ship hardware to flavored ban states.
