I need some advice here guys.

I had a DOA Vinci X in an order from Fasttech with a ticket created 22 days ago. I gave them clear photos and videos of the faulty item.
They replied twice asking me to re-send the videos. I can only assume the Corona virus/staff levels had them stalling at this point.

Finally here is their reply:

Thank you for your video.

We have checked it and will pass it to the supplier to double check the problem.

Could you please have the item repaired in a local repair shop? Would you Please inquiry about the repair costs and get back to us for the cost. We will consider if it is acceptable to repair it in your place and give you a refund for the repair costs.

I've been buying from FT for 4 years now and this is a first. Previous refunds were pretty fast. I know the virus has slowed them down but the content of their reply is bizarre.

I feel like I'm wading in quicksand here.
I've replied demanding a full refund but I know another week or more will pass until they reply. I know it's only 40 bucks but it's the principal.

What should I do?

EDIT: Of course any local electronics repairer here would charge a minimum of 120 bucks to look at it then 80/hour to try and fix the little POS. This is not Shenzen with repair shops on every corner.
I guess you get what you pay for.
Was it that much cheaper from Fasttech than from a domestic vendor?

You should be able to sell those pretty fast right now. A lot of people are buying up mech mods now with the regulations around the corner. I would buy that GP if I had the $
I would have thought so too. But the reason I asked was that when I looked at the classies here there haven't been any bought/sold/wanted for years.

Couldn’t take it, fire up the Dot with the pre installed .3 coil. Immediately bought a few boxes of those coils. Outrageous. So good. I have some BVCs laying around for a rainy day, may just dig them out and see how they are - very cool that a BVC adapter is included.

I need to hunt down some tiny wire to build this, but I’m really surprised at the flavor from this coil.

Remember though that the classifieds were pretty much closed for years - at least, nobody could get verified to use it. I never did.

I don’t often go looking there because I have so much gear already. I do hope it stays open after the hammer drops. It’ll be my last place to buy stuff.

Go ahead and list it, if you’re serious. Worst that can happen is nobody buys it.

Luvin the Unicorn stuff. I have the exact same setup except my stack is knurled and the RDA is also black. Well, you grabbed one of the caps too.

How do you have yours built?

I'm currently rocking a set of A1 flat claptons clocking in at around .28 ohms. They're not real pretty but they are pretty rowdy :D

I hate Clapton wire in my single battery mech mods but I’m discovering in a series build its much nicer than just round wire.

Yep, me too. I generally run A1 and SS claptons in all my series builds. I get much better flavor than I used to get from round wire and it's easier to build higher. I save those pretty, quick ramping Ni80 aliens for lower builds in my mech tubes.
