Even then, there's that occational hic and burp when the juice comes flowing back. Unlike the boy, I don't see the Hippo growing up and out of it...

Don’t know if this will help, but I fill the dot with a syringe.
I wonder if the Dot SE takes the same tank and stuff as the other one, or are they entirely separate rabbit holes?

Fred the only thing I can suggest is to make sure the little slide down door that covers the fill hole is all the way down. There's a tiny little air release hole down at the bottom of that door that can easily be half covered up.Ok this has to be said. If it's going to drive you nuts, just use a 510 fill bottle, and fill it through the 510 pin
Squonk Refill Bottle
or a 510 cap:
WOTOFO Easy Fill Squonk Cap
I fill mine like @Pigs said - the tiny air vent needs to be open. If it's blocked, stick a needle in it to clear it. Don't press the bottle hard against the opening, squeeze to fill, give it a sec for it to send a bubble back to your bottle, and squeeze again. Repeat til done
