It seems obvious to me that smoking/having smoked would make one more likely to get sicker from COVID-19, given the way it affects the lungs. As usual, certain people are conflating vaping and smoking to push an agenda. And so it goes.

I am looking forward to getting back into DIY so I don’t have to clean and rewick so often

The only trouble is.... when you have taste buds like mine :sneaky:
My fave mixes include caramel (coil killer), oreos (coil killer) all containing plenty of ice cream and cream and cap super sweet :D

    Luckily I don't mind rewicking, sometimes ;)

Were you irritated about the doors? Who knew? LOL! It's good they've been shipped.
    I know.
When I was a kid, my role models taught me to say what I'm gonna do, and do what I say. So if you need a week, say a week. I'm not unreasonable...much.

Now, this lovely virus has everyone stressed. I just read a post from a guy that doesn't seemed worried about himself, but people who will be impacted without pay if they have to stay home. He's worried about those who get sick. He's worried about his wife who's on call as a nurse. Didn't mention himself once

    Kinda touching.

mod and members permitting, think now's a good time for anyone to vent here. We're all a little frazzled no matter what part of the world we live in. Maybe scared, maybe not. Up to you.

Dancing Stormtroopers for relevance...just in case.

Buy an any reason travel insurance plan. Given the uncertainty it’s worth the extra price if your air tickets are expensive enough to justify it. As you’re not looking at a hotel on top of it, if you can get a cheap flight now it may work out better to eat the loss if you can’t make it.

As for domestic travel concerns, the horse is already out of the barn. Containment by restricting interstate travel is pretty useless to accomplish much. Hopefully by the middle of April you’ll have a better picture on the situation.

Unless you vape 60 ml a day, I’d say you have me beat on the retail juice stock.

I am looking forward to getting back into DIY so I don’t have to clean and rewick so often. Those sweet juices are a killer. Once I started using Xylitol as my sweetener I could have a sweet juice with way less crap building up.
I know! I mixed up 360mls today. A little steep time and I can get into it. I know I will consider all the stuff in the fridge junk after that.

I worry a bit for our guys that provide service at the cemeteries and our funeral directors. Many families are scattered and come from all over. I think the average American would likely assume they just have a plain cold/flu and will attend the services anyway.

except I hate to fly coach. I also hate to sound like a snob but I like first class. Worth the extra to not sit like a sardine for the 4.5 hours to LA. I used to do it, 15-20 years ago, coach was like first class is now. Then they decided to cram 400 seats into what used to hold 200 seats and this is just no bueno for me. I usually pop a zanax to make it through the flight and if there is someone that close to me I will be snoring and drooling on their shoulder for the whole flight

Meanwhile, I’m getting emails from every business on the planet, telling me to rest assured, they are upping their cleaning routine to keep their patrons safe.

I wonder, does this mean their rest rooms will get cleaned, finally, and stop being more disgusting than the ones at rest stops along the Jersey turnpike? ( I’m looking at you, Oregon Walmart)

I just reported someone for posting a meme on Facebook that says something about putting oil - essential oils, olive oil, etc - in your navel fights Coronavirus.

I’m so done with stupid people.

I’ve sent this to everyone I know...

    https://www.nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056/NEJMp2003762

Some highlights, I thought, were that this virus is infectious with asymptotic people, where common flu is not. And that it might be several times as contagious - which I expected, since nobody is immune to it.
Well done...bravo Delores. I've been doing exactly the same on FB....idiots breed more idiots and they need stopping in their tracks..... makes me want to swear.....a lot :(

Whoohooo, State of Emergency, Local Emergency, and idiots are still saying "flu is worse". Reported case about an hour from here...so yay. If you think it's no worse than the flu...keeeweelll. Still wash ya hands and keep your distance. Thanks.

Shiny news! My doors are FINALLY moving. Only took a hint or two that I was a bit irritated.

    Stay healthy.
Yes...who knew ...lol. Incidentally I did send an email to Alex telling him to be extra responsive to my American friends who were very used to good service and got very annoyed if they weren't responded to :D

But when you DIY you use flavours that are naturally sweet plus 0.25 to 0.50 super sweet and you very quickly get used to that as being sweet enough....to be honest I think that the more sweetener you have the more lung damage you're doing....give it a try Zazie.

Juice flavours like Capella sweet cream and flavour art marshmallow are naturally sweet....:)

    Good morning shinies

Sister in Sydney sent me this yesterday....

    You might like this.
    UK Virus ALERT
The English are feeling the pinch in relation to recent virus threat and have therefore raised their threat level from “Miffed” to “Peeved.” Soon, though, level may be raised yet again to “Irritated” or even “A Bit Cross.”
The English have not been “A Bit Cross” since the blitz in 1940 when tea supplies nearly ran out.
The virus has been re-categorized from “Tiresome” to “A Bloody Nuisance.” The last time the British issued a “Bloody Nuisance” warning level was in 1588, when threatened by the Spanish Armada.

The Scots have raised their threat level from “...... Off” to “Let's Get the B**t*rd.” They don't have any other levels. This is the reason they have been used on the front line of the British army for the last 300 years.

The French government announced yesterday that it has raised its alert level from “Run” to “Hide.” The only two higher levels in France are “Collaborate” and “Surrender.” The rise was precipitated by a recent fire that destroyed France's white flag factory, effectively paralyzing the country's military capability.

Italy has increased the alert level from “Shout Loudly and Excitedly” to “Elaborate Military Posturing.” Two more levels remain: “Ineffective Combat Operations” and “Change Sides.”

The Germans have increased their alert state from “Disdainful Arrogance” to “Dress in Uniform and Sing Marching Songs.” They also have two higher levels: “Invade a Neighbour” and “Lose.”

Belgians, on the other hand, are all on holiday as usual; the only threat they are worried about is NATO pulling out of Brussels.

The Spanish are all excited to see their new submarines ready to deploy. These beautifully designed subs have glass bottoms so the new Spanish navy can get a really good look at the old Spanish navy.

Australia, meanwhile, has raised its alert level from “No worries” to “She'll be alright, Mate.” Two more escalation levels remain: “Crikey! I think we'll need to cancel the barbie this weekend!” and “The barbie is cancelled.” So far, no situation has ever warranted use of the final escalation level.
