after recent discussions, i had to check my stats

View attachment 879381

seems ok, until you realise that lots of those "funny" i was *trying for* "informative"
I had to go look. I’ve gotten 15 red Xs. No idea for what or from whom. The disturbing part is I’ve apparently given 13 (fat fingers). Sorry, whoever you are. Oops???
I did mark your comment “informative” ;)

I watched a video on someone doing a brass mech/tube. Beautiful results, but too much to try just for kicks on one of mine. It takes real talent to get that kind of agate/natural pattern.
I watched probably the exact same video. The mech was suspended over an old ice cream tub.... interesting process....I intend to try it sometime. Don't know when though

I think that 3 of the 7 I gave were when it first changed from like or thanks. I clicked disagree on "Good morning" a few times, since I'm 14 hours in front of new York. Turns out that was not the intention of the system

Finally seeing some light at the end of the tunnel...thanks Mel. My white blood cell have finally started to climb significantly so my body can start to fight its own battles again...fingers crossed and touch wood :D

One of the worst things is the nerve damage in my feet which is so slow to improve that it's beginning to feel like it'll stay that way forever....that chemo is nasty stuff for sure....

Good news is the docs are pretty sure that the cancer has been banished for good....hoorah :)

Hope that you and family are staying nice and safe and that you're getting some pleasure from the blue doors
I’m loving the blue doors! I think I’ve settled on the perfect dt to go with them. Thank you again. It really made my heart sing to get your package

Excellent news on your blood work! Prayers that it continues to get back to normal and stays there. I hope your feet get back to normal too. Slow improvement is better than none! I have nerve issues in mine from a back injury. Took me a while to adjust to it, so I know what a bother it can be. You’ve been such a trooper through all this. It just seems fitting you should get rewarded with a return to full health

Let me know if you do. I could probably dig a few old mechs out of the stash to try. I’m just gunshy about it.

Then, good afternoon, Doffy. Just after 11 pm here... you’re right smack in the middle of nap time there

Yes I am a bit but as long as you follow the instructions to the letter all should well.

I'll let you know for sure.

Good morning shinies

My wire is still just sitting in Hong Kong according to the tacking. Three weeks now and I don't know why. I had a Sourcemore order which came pretty normally so I hope that they haven't lost it

I'll give it about another week and then contact ft to see if they can shed any light :pop:

I got intrigued by that long Kayfun posted earlier. Searched online but could not find any long chimneys for sale, late to the party I guess. Being stubborn, I made a chimney extension using a 1mL syringe.

Here she is, Russian 91% V2 clone, on a Hammer clone, stratched out. Feels better now that it's got some length to it.

That's what gave me the idea to use a syringe. It worked back then, no reason why it wouldn't still work. I'm glad the syringe tube fit the chimney, I tried a bunch of stuff that wasn't the right size.

It's really gorgeous !

It's superb Classy. If you need any 18500s maybe contact Basen direct. After checking Mooch's recommended batteries I did last year and got a bunch of Basen Black 18500s for wholesale prices. From memeory they're 12A CDR. I didn't ask for samples but that's what they called them.

i think only 14500 REO mini were made in brass, to save on weight?

i could be wrong though, they might have done a run of 2.1s

The mini 2.1 and mini 2.1 lp both take 18490 or 18500 batteries. Looks like that's what Classy has

EDIT: unless I've put my trotter in it again and got that wrong (happened on many occasions) - @classwife which model is it?
