That's great news!Finally seeing some light at the end of the tunnel...thanks Mel. My white blood cell have finally started to climb significantly so my body can start to fight its own battles again...fingers crossed and touch wood
One of the worst things is the nerve damage in my feet which is so slow to improve that it's beginning to feel like it'll stay that way forever....that chemo is nasty stuff for sure....
Good news is the docs are pretty sure that the cancer has been banished for good....hoorah

My wire is still just sitting in Hong Kong according to the tacking. Three weeks now and I don't know why. I had a Sourcemore order which came pretty normally so I hope that they haven't lost it
I'll give it about another week and then contact ft to see if they can shed any light
Anything leaving FT is probably not going via the exact carrier route you chose at checkout, i know that ones i chose to go via Hong Kong Post are now being handled by Post NL and sitting in the Netherlands, and the one going via Singapore Post is sitting there doing nothing for over a week now. I expect theres probably just a big pile of pallets waiting for the infrequent flights out of hubs....

Oh dear it seems I was to clever for myself...again. I might have blown my tobacco order from the US for the NET extractions. Before I ordered, I did some research and understood than I can import 50g max. Now on more proper research it seems that only applies when you have tobacco on you and you enter the country. When imported you are liable for tax and duties...and that is a small fortune. I'm properly gutted
I mean i'm doing the right thing here...the government wants the country to be smoke free by 2025 and I feel i'm doing my bit well and truelly, yet they still classify me under the smoke laws.
I'm waiting for them to contact me and i'll be stating my case....that's for sure. To who, I don't yet know, but as far as i'm concerned, this is a grey area that they haven't yet addressed. That tobacco is for vaping (an alternative to smoking) and NOT for smoking.

but, it was similar here, up until july last year when they move most tobacco to prohibited import status
prior to this, i frequently imported cheap american pipe tobacco for NETs. I found 1oz shipments usually snuck through customs, thereby avoiding the $1 p/gram tax

Some may know ive been looking to buy myself a new guitar, my first full blooded Fender guitar in 20+ years, and came across some sad and disturbing news for lovers of things with 6 strings who like Ash bodied shinies today....
Fender is stopping production of guitars using Ash bodies, apparently this is not a drill or a late april fools joke.
Due to:
1) A burrowing beetle that eats through the wood, ruining it for use
2) Probably more importantly Climate Change - that thing your president doesnt believe in and the USA refuses to act upon. All the Ash they use comes from the Mississippi delta, and now that those areas they harvest it from spend 2/3 of the year underwater, its useless to make guitars from
Ash has had a long history of being used by Fender (and other guitar manufacturers) since almost the beginning, so this is a real shame, and a wakeup call on climate change....
They are halting its use on production models apart from the odd rare historically significant model runs, and the remaining stock will alsogo to custom shop guitars which will see reduced usage of that stock.
So want an Ash Telecaster or even a Stratocaster? Best buy one soon, they will be disappearing

Yeah mate i'm cautiously optimistic that some might sneak through....but they open most all my liquid I get abroad, so that says to me they do their job way to well. On the other hand with the borders closed and deliveries not done, the mountain of imports is getting higher at the customs warehouse. When things return to normal they might miss some stuff...will see.
The taxes and duties are horrendous here in NZ. The one ounce pouches will cost me in order of $70..that's apart from the $35 (shipping included) I paid already. Some pouches are 2 ounce so that effectively doubles the above price.

Tracking says my le vert is at the PO, but I’m going to try to be patient and stick to my ‘only checking the mail on Monday’ thing. It’s small, and won’t be in her way.
Ordered the Tiffany blue dotaio, haven’t heard a peep about the RCM yet. I can be patient about that, but I’m feeling a lot less patient about the craft supplies I bought from California on the 1st, that are still showing as ‘in transit to next facility’ since the 5th. Everything has been a lot slower than usual, but at least most stuff is showing some movement. This seems to just be sitting somewhere, stuck.
