That's the temperature inside my house.

I used to have the same exchange with my nephew before he moved up here from Florida. He’s been here a whole winter, a really mild one, and he’s ready to go back. Every time a snowflake fell he put a picture on FB.

Look at all the snow!!!

No, sweetie, we call that a dusting.

I had to go look. I’ve gotten 15 red Xs. No idea for what or from whom. The disturbing part is I’ve apparently given 13 (fat fingers). Sorry, whoever you are. Oops???
I did mark your comment “informative” ;)

I've gotten 56 and given 33, I'm sure some were mistakes because I have fat fingers.. lol. the phone is atrocious to type on I swear..

in the end, who cares? they lost their meaning some time ago...

That's ... alot of flavors.

lol... you'd hate my recipes then..

I guess there's a reason I don't share my recipes here, not much point but I've never been happy with simple recipes, I can taste the nuances or the lack thereof and it turns me into a picky darn vaper...

lol..

    virm, I take it those numbers in black are %? I only have 3 of those. So for my taste, using them singularly;
Cactus @ 4% would completely overwhelm my taste buds freshly mixed. It would remind me of my Aloe vera gel hand sanitizer.
Cardamom, I'd need it higher for the taste I like
Fuji Apple a touch more after a shake. IRL I like a super tart green apple called a Russet Apple which is hard to find and picked after the first frost in Canada

So after a good long steep, that Fuji would disappear to sweet and that cactus would tone down. No idea about the others. YMMV, and good luck. Your subjective taste could be completely different,

As a new mixer I would advise keeping your mixes simple using just 2-4 flavors. Complex mixes need a bit of finesse and familiarity with your flavors usually.

been trying to keep it simpler_ but as everything still tasted too weak and given advice on kicking flavours, at least to begin with, and then fearing one flavour for sweetening, like say cactus, would be too pronounced, i tried this. got liquid stevia today finally, per advice, so maybe i won't be needing so many flavours now.

Perfect the simple recipes before branching out is my recommendation.

    @NolaMel @chanelvaps @Opinionated i found stevia_ couple of caveats:
not organic, and i noticed some products in the organic section that specifically said 'no stevia'_ is the first bad and does the latter generally meaning there is something iffy abt stevia? i mean the whole point of my mixing venture is avoiding potentially harmful stuff like DAAPs and sugars...
i got it but it's fine if i don't use it as the resident baking german would definitely be experimenting with...
    thanks for advice thus far:):):)

yes, up next it shall be hopefully. at this point, given how little i actually tasted everything i doubt all the 2%-ers would do much more than give some sweetness and texture_ but yes, without much nuance that might not be the right... thanks.

Take a closer look at how minuscule the amount of dap your mixes will actually be before you count them out. Personally for me the risk is so low (if there is any risk at all) is preferable to the smell of the butyric acid they use to replace the dap.;)

that went right over my head: who's a what now?

so i might as well have stuck with my sucralose-citral-linalool-mint oil relatively quite affordable oneshots?

The 1st time I tried DIY, I gave up on it, was trying a lot of complex mixes and using syringes, was just to much time and trouble.

Now got back into mixing, but now have scales, which saves a ton of time, I also do a lot of 'single shot' mixes, which make mixing, super easy and quick, others mixes I try, normally have under 6 flavors, and once done a tester, if I like it, I will mix a bigger bottle, so lasts me longer between mixes.

With my 2nd attempt being a lot more successful and not such a chore to be mixing, I think 'single shots' are a great way to start off, and move up from there IMO.

There was a discussion on ELR in the forum that went into it in depth I believe. In food, there are people that taste stevia as bitter, not sweet. Sort of like those that get soap, not herb from cilantro.
I would experiment with the juice you find muted.( Or better, a single flavor first). Split it into 4 equal samples. Leave one as the control, the other 3 add 3 different amounts of sweetener ( say, 0,1,2 and 3 drops) so that you can tell how the sweetener changes your perception of the flavor. That also will help you figure out how much best works for you. Too much flavor can be just as muted as not enough. If adding sweetener doesn’t help. Try one flavor at various %s and see if you can find what is best for you.
You’re using cactus at about 4x the % I would. But neither of us may be wrong. I’m using what I know works for me with cactus. As tempting as it is to start out trying to clone recipes (extremely hard to do) or use a lot of flavors, more success is found starting with 2-3 flavors in a mix.

thnak YOUH! will do! i might actually try it with this mix as well_ had to make 40mls to dilute the spices (one drop in 30ml was still too strong for some stuff). maybe i'll try it with my other recipe first, as this needs a steeeeping. i've been going for the cactus-mandarin-grape recipe but was too weak and added fuji.. hoping stevia will replace that and the need for upping the precentages too much...

there's some kind of a difference between the organic stevia and the whatever kind you buy in the store..

I use the Pyure Organic Liquid Stevia Extract (Sugar free)

okay, I looked it up, just make sure what ingredients are in what you bought. should be distilled water and stevia leaf extract... keep away from anything with funky ingredients added.

only the organic stevia from what I remember was fine to vape, but it's been so long I honestly don't remember for sure.... but I order mine online and only buy the organic (and pay twice as much for it) for reasons that I'm positive had something to do with vaping.

Sorry my memory is getting bad. You want to research it and look into it before use..

I use the Pyure Organic Liquid Stevia Extract (Sugar free)

thanks for the quick help. haven't opened it yet, can even give it back. yes that was the recommended one earlier. i'll try and find something that delivers the brand to germany..

lol no.. I use flavorings most people don't use because of the expense .. to me it's worth it, but it's not worth it to most people...

I really don't do much sharing of recipes as a result..last time I listed a recipe for a milk chocolate flavor base I made everyone in the thread choke on their coffee when they looked up price.. haha

what are the ingredients on your bottle?

if there's just water and extract perhaps "natural flavoring" your good..

just don't vape anything that lists funky ingredients and you'll be fine. I did look up the why of it for you. . took me a minute to edit my post.. sorry was a bit slow.

as a beside, go very low on amount, and realize when you use it you need a longer steep. Start with 1/4 of a percent... I've never used more than .5% (see the decimal point) in any recipe..

Rob this is such good news except for the burning feet. I take Cymbalta for that and it helps. I have nerve damage in my feet too and they feel like they are on fire without any meds
    Hey I'm Charlie :D

Yes the nerve damage is really bad...my feet are so bad sometimes that I can't walk properly....it does get better they tell me.

Hope that you're doing ok.... we'll see whose feet can get better quickest :)

    Take care
