I think it's strange when people talk about being scared of the earthquakes in Kalifornia. I've never experienced a tornado and I really don't want to. That looks scary as hell. For those of you in those tornado areas please take care and be safe as possible.
I have experienced both and I can tell you, it is not nearly as scary to live in a tornado area as it is an earthquake are. I experienced two of CA biggest. Sylmar in 1971 (I think) and Northridge in 1992 (ish)
It is too strange for the ground under you, that you have always been able to count on as stable, all the sudden to be jumping about. I remember seeing my mom, going down the hall to get my brother, literally bouncing from wall to wall.
At least with tornado's you have a good chance of it not touching you

Las Vegas
We occasionally get small earthquakes here, and have had a couple tornadoes here over the last 40 years. When I was a kid they were still doing underground nuclear testing at the test site about 90 miles North. They would announce when they were going to do a test and at that time there would be an earthquake. The shockwaves from those bombs are insane. They stopped testing in 92. I was young and just thought it was cool, didn't really understand the gravity of what they were doing. They were done doing above ground testing before we moved here but I wonder how much radiation is still out there.

I remember doing the drills in school back in the 60's where we would have to kneel under our desks covering our heads. Don't miss that.

I hearby declare that @NolaMel is an evil person and shiny human being. I would like to complain to moderators, investigators and all moral authorities that she is practicing voodoohexcraftery tempting this humble warm circle of content zen with shiny amulets, orbs, fairy wires and magic vapourboxes

I loved this movie. The "duck and cover" bit was the most bizarre

a movie that hails from over your way...these final hours. apt currently. sort of. maybe not really. has held a place in my heart for quite some time.

Thanks! I don’t normally do pre orders, but I’ll probably make an exception in this case.
Wise....I love mine and in fact I may get another.

I don't know as I still have an untouched vapeshell and several Zeta's that I haven't built on yet?

    Decisions, decisions :)
