Sounds like the perfect way to start the day. We opted for a late brunch of eggs benedict and home fry potatoes. Mainly because Himself married a oh so not morning person

Yep, we. And it was wonderful. Almost nothing like watching a beautiful sunrise.
Your breakfast sounds awesome. I'm used to sleeping until 10-11 but lately I'm early, mostly(ish).

So, what's for dinner by you? I'm making grilled salmon for dinner. Love my fish!!!

Hey... I've been meaning to ask you if you've heard of a singer from Lafayette, Lauren Daigle? She has some serious pipes. Went from zero to playing sell-out crowds in the Big venues worldwide in no time at all. 2 Grammy's + 2 AMA's to boot. She posted the "social distancing" version of Still Rolling Stones a few days ago...

Our stories are Us, and each one of Us is special. Makes us real, and I always choose real. Many times real is not pretty but can be turned into pretty. At some point(s) we all have scattered life pieces we learn to re-make ourselves from. Good heavens, I've had many (the whole drug thing too). I welcome a good re-make. None are spared the crucible of Life. Personally that is why I believe all people should learn to get along no matter what. I honestly think we All have more in common than not. Life is too short for BS of any kind. Kindness matters. And a whole lotta Love!

I'm a very open book ... I understand I am the book and writer filling in the blank pages. My take is that I better do my best to write a good one.

Yeah at the chapter I am in now, happily retired, enough money, ok health, etc. I see now that it was the struggles that made me and I am grateful for the experiences and the growth that came with it.

Having exhausted my desire for painting some of my beach rocks, I am now going to move to another craft table (I have three set up in three different rooms) and do something else.
Here is my finished ones and I ruined my sunshine one by painting some glaze over it before it was totally dry.

Rainin' by you Wind?

I must be weird cause I love it when it rains, or pours and when there is bangin' thunder. Oh yeah, the lightning shows are the best(est).

Last summer during one driving rain I ran outside just to get soaking wet... I loved it. Hey, I gotta feed my inner kid or he gets "funky".

HaHa reminds me of when we moved from KC to Philly, my daughter lamented the lack of bangin' thunder storms here. KC gets violent storms every now and then rolling in from Kansas (go figure). Philly folks have no idea what a proper storm is like

I am a 23 year recovering alcoholic and drug addict, and I have some stories from my book I would feel very self conscious sharing here. In fact I've got some pages I'd like to rip up and dispose of permanently. Let's just say I wouldn't even be able to be friends with the old me. It's a miracle I'm not dead many times over, because I darn sure should be. Maybe one day I will be comfortable enough to share some of those experiences, but for now I'm just happy and thankful I am the person you see today.

Well see... I have a slightly different take on my past... I embrace it, the so-called good/bad, the ugly, the warts and all. And why not. It's only Me!!!

No ripping up and disposing of any of my pages, they wear My story well. Like an old pair of well worn Levi's (or Wranglers haha). Those pages all had a hand in making me the man I am today. Besides every good Book has discords and challenges coming before any kind of happy ending is even possible. It's all about the "whole" Journey, no?

I am friends with my entire Life ... we've found peace. The old me would be happy with this me, I'm 1000% on that. I have zero regrets anymore. I've made peace with all of me and people in my life too. Letting go and honest forgiveness goes a long way. And gratitude.

So, I made chocolate cake with chocolate cream cheese icing today (the real kind that you eat), and 2 bottles each of Apple pie and Apple turnovers (the kind you vape)..

I need to do more, both of the real food and of the vaping kind.. lol.. but I'm just not feeling it.

I have no earthly idea what's for dinner (although desserts in the bag... lol)...

I'm almost thinking pizza. :sigh:

The rock with the sunset, gulls and palm trees reminds me of my many times in LA, San Diego and the Bay area. Cali sunsets are breathtaking. The colors, stunning. Watching the sun setting on the beach was a favorite pastime.

When I was in grade school (60's) I used to go down to a river nearby, collect rocks, bring them home and paint scenes, flowers, houses - as well as a kid could - and went door-to-door selling them. For some I got as much as fifty cents but mostly nickels, dimes and lots of pennies. My first business.

They may need a change if not in good condition or may need a tightening.

I love Philly!!! Had a blast last time I was there. I think real proper storms are of the mid-western and southern variety. The time of big storms is fast approaching here and I can't wait!!! I'll be out getting soaked and enjoying the light shows.

Pizza sounds good.

My preference is always from scratch on literally everything... it's SO much better although it's getting more difficult for me to accomplish as time wears on.

However, I managed to do some (pan) fry bread and turn it into mini pizza's... yea! It was simple enough, and hubby is doing dishes for me tonight... it works!

Turned out to be a beautiful, sunny day today. My sister and her husband came over - outside, 6 feet! - and he cut down some weed trees and gave my apple tree a good prune. I gave my sis the ouija bag and she loved it. A great day all around.
