Because they are highly rated by Mooch (the rewrap), have a much stronger wrap than the Sony and are/were available locally unlike the Sony. Reputable brand rewraps are brand new batteries - not used in any way.

and from ye we benefit . thanks.
and someone really should wright an ode to the mooch

@Letitia can you recommend a watermelon flavour to freshen up a fruit custard?
Well I don't vape custards but FA watermelon, red summer plays well with other flavors and isn't as candyish as most. TFA watermelon candy, FE watermelon, LA watermelon are all good; those all lean to the candy side. VSO and MF are said to be more fresh like but I have neither. MB big watermelon is very popular and WF yellow watermelon is fast becoming popular. If you have FLV wild melon give it a try, it's strong and can overpower so maybe start at 1 drop per 10ml for an accent.

Thanks. :thumb: I'm not much of a candy flav guy. Might give MB big watermelon and/or WF yellow watermelon a try.

Well the MB is more candy, similar to LA from what I've read. The yellow is reported as sweet as well. If you aren't wanting a sweet wm try the FA first. Personally if I vaped watermelon more often I'd spring for the MF. Melon vapes are a mood thing for me and don't mix them often for myself.

Hey Pigsy it occurs that you may not need watermelon at all if you need freshness. WM is a fairly flat flavour and as Letitia says is quite strong. You may well find you suddenly taste only WM. Maybe you need something zesty like a citrus or even a sour or freshener sometimes a dash of which can liven up a mix....

weird how i got under the impression the FLV is weaker, from the spearmint and the % in the recipes in comparison to FA couterparts. heard good things abt wild melon, though not that it is watermelonish and i always go FA when i there's a suitable option.. had it in my cart before it sold out, for to layer my eternal cactus mix, but FA dragonfruit should be enough. Speaking of which, what y'all think?

    Cactus (Kaktus) (INAWERA) 1.50
    Dragonfruit (FA) 0.50
    Grape, White (FA) 3.00
    Mandarin (Tanger) (FA) 2.00
    Tangerine (Flavorah) 1.00
    Ice (Flavorah) 0.16
    Spearmint (Flavorah) 0.40
    Sour Wizard (FA) 0.08
    Sweetness (Flavorah) 0.16

wish i'd known of something to layer the grape. following letitia's advice i added FA mandarine a few days after the rest (today), steeping them all till tomorrow or day after.

I vape watermelon and other melon flavors here and there. If you are looking for a realistic watermelon go with FA Watermelon (Red Summer). It includes the fresh red, seed and rind. It is not sweet or complete on its own so you will need others for that. FA watermelon is not strong so depending on your other flavors 3.5-6% is not uncommon in a mix.

I make it more like a fresh tasting farm watermelon by adding a little MB Big Watermelon. That will bring the sweetness we're most accustomed to with eating a real w-melon. MB's is a candyish watermelon. By itself it is like a Jolly Roger hard candy, sweet.

Also there is something about adding a tiny bit of raspberry to watermelon that adds even more realism. I use INW Raspberry WG for that but be careful because it is strong. Depending on %'s of w-melon used a single drop of INW raspberry wg will influence the mix.

Thinking this with creams/vanillas/custards (depending on %'s):
    FA Watermelon 4-5%
    MB Big Watermelon 1-1.5%
    INW Raspberry WG 1 drop

ETA: I've heard great things about the realism of MF's watermelon (and many of their other flavors). They are very highly concentrated. @Opinionated uses a bunch of MF flavors. Maybe she has w-melon and can offer her thoughts.

wouldn't FA cucumber or FLV melon rind do the trick for the infidel's sausage?

Thanks for the tips everyone! Much appreciated and much to absorb.
A virtual trip to buy yet more flavs now essential.
I also just ran put of TFA Vanilla Bean Ice Cream and made the mistake of doing a 1:1 swap with HS cream as a substitute in my Ras custsrd adv. Now have 180ml of un-vapeable juice to deal with. Broke my rule of making small batches of a new recipe

You can fix that. Dilute with base so the HA cream is 1%; start with a 10ml sample. Then bump the raspberry to original percentage and add a vanilla or two at normal percentage use (in the 10ml sample).
