My Thor is pink--not my favorite color, though it is very pretty--while yours is a lovely blue plus. Hence my envy (which you are very evil/human to relish).

Funny, I was just looking at the Mini--but it's, at least on paper, too tight for me. My sweet spot is somewhere between 1.8-2.5mm diameter hole under the coil. I know, the Goldilocks syndrome. That's why I like the big Hastur, even though that hex nut on top drives me nuts, but it's been sold out everywhere for a long time. I even emailed Cthulhu mods to find out if it's been discontinued. Or maybe they are working on V2 sans nut?

I do love the Hastur. I’m sorry I didn’t buy more. I wasted time buying a bunch I just didn’t think were fabulous (True, Elevate,Intake...I’m looking at y’all lol). The MD probably comes in 3rd place. Silverplay isn’t sexy or trendy, but it’s easy, reliable and flavorful. And cheap (even better )

Tried another ni80 3*30/38 tri-core build this morning. I was aiming for not-so-rowdy

I went with 2.5mm id, came out @ 0.37ohm. I completely ignored what the resulting wattage would be, but as it's the lowest I've built I did check that it was still below my 30q's 15A limit.

Result? Rowdy as hell for the first few vapes, but it's perfect now. Fast ramp up and it cools much quicker than a 3mm 5 wrap. Love it

Going to try it in an Axial next time, 3mm id maybe 4 wraps
ETA I need some more Axials BTW

I considered it in the past; I remember we discussed it at length in Ange's old thread but I decided against it because that building deck is very similar to a Taifun HURRICANE build deck, and I hated my Taifun HURRICANE. Also, it's only 2 ml... *sigh*

A bit enigmatic. So either they are working on a nutless V2 of Hastur, or starting from scratch, but they are going to release something.

I never had a taifun, but it’s build it in your sleep easy. It’s the only one I can manage with my hand brace on. It’s not particularly thirsty either, so 2ml isn’t as much of a negative as with other tanks. But, yes, I wish it was 3-4ml anyway because I’m lazy lol.
Hopeful news on a new Cthulhu. I just hope they don’t try an get too “innovative” and mess it all up. It’s so hard to find a “Goldilocks” tank.
