Did you read it? I cried like a baby when I first read it... It's too long and wordy, but so amazing.
I read it all. I'm thinking differently about birds now, they're not just wild creatures, but intelligent, compassionate beings. I know of animal therapy for PTSD, the places I'm aware of use horses, dogs, cats sometimes, just not parrots. Interesting that crows have some of the same social abilities as parrots, glad they aren't as pretty, and can avoid capture that way more by lack of human interest.

It was a long read, but I don't think too long, touching is what it was. The ability that parrots have to empathize with human beings, and not just mirror behavior, is amazing. This my longer version of thank you.

It's not worth too much hassle Mate:)
I'm most definitely not going through anyone on the Forum that I'm not familiar with:D
The person I tagged is the King of vapemail. He's a really good guy and he's the Skipper of our SA Forum. Also part of this forum since ....he can maybe just point you in the direction you need to go.

One major breakthrough in understanding bird intelligence was the self-awareness test. Magpies were found to recognize themselves in a mirror. Many other animals and birds except the higher primates, elephants and dolphins assumed the creature they saw in a mirror was another of their kind and attacked it. The magpies recognized themselves, proving self awareness.
Mirror test shows magpies aren't so bird-brained

Hi guys! I’ve been getting myself adjusted to squonks/RDA.’s and I’m not getting the flavor I’m used to in my fiddly rta’s. Do I need to mix different?

Depends on the RDA and wattage/coil used. On a small single coil RDL RDA, I usually mix 70VG/30PG, 5-10% flavoring, 3mg/mL, ~30 watts on a .5-.7 Ohm 24 Ga.Kanthal A1 build. Every one of my little.single coil RDA's require different coil height, some a lot, some a little, to get the best flavor.

On a dual coil RDA everything changes, resistance is lower, airflow is increased, wattage is higher, coil placement changes, I also need less flavorings because more vapor is produced.

I'd suggest playing with the coil height so the airflow hits the coil(s) center and a little low, adjusting wattage to see what your sweet spot is for the build you have in there, and squonking every 1-2 hits to make sure your wick(s) are saturated enough.

    I'm a complete dork.

I had last week off work, today being Monday, I got dressed, walked the 300m to work and found my Sis (and boss) on my 4 wheeler. She told me I was a twit and still on holiday for another week

I celebrated by ordering another Gear RTA locally ;)

I agree with those above. I find my RDAs give me a more intense, concentrated flavour than RTAs. And where you stick your coil makes a huge difference to the flavour you get.

Even a small 2.5mm id coil can get you decent flavour, if it's aligned so that the airflow hits the bottom third of the coil. Just try coils with different leg heights and see if it improves. In a new RDA once the coil is inserted, I always poke a skewer through the airflow inlet, to see where it's hitting my coil. If it's not hitting the bottom third, then I move the coil until it is.

Thank you so much for reminding me. Hussar Project X and Precisio were once very high on my list (yes, I have a list :)), but then I saw this video (6:45) and it discouraged me, so I decided to skip ultem altogether. I figured that it's not the best choice for Vapocalypse stash because of those fragile threads. Am I wrong? I like ss and glass.

Hi Katya- imo, his comments on the ultem threads ignore that you really never really need to use them. You may have seen me extol the virtues of the Precisio before, but it's STILL the best RTA I've tried to date. The part of the ultem that threads into the top of the tank don't really need to come into play with routine cleaning. The part that threads to the bottom, that you unscrew for rebuilding are between the SS deck and chimney. So don't let that dissuade you. It really is worth it, if the rest appeals to you, and you want a super dense, flavorful vape. And the ultem is really thick, much less likely to break than glass. I think it's a better vacopolypse bet than my Doggies or Trues.

My dear Brewdawg! How did you find my post here?

I do know how you feel about the Precisio. I was soooo close to getting one, as you know, but this ultem scared me. Or maybe I was just sore that you beat me in that contest. ;)

*sigh* I'll probably get one. Time for experimenting, picking, and choosing is running out. Time to get off the fence. :D
