Good morning shinies

Second day with the Skyline. Lovely vape and it's very quiet. Absolutely no leaking despite reading about some people having some problems.....all in all I'm becoming a big Skyline fan......the oldies are the besties in my opinion. It got to the point where the designers cracked it and they've all followed that model ever since. Long gone are the days of total frustration :D
I'm not sure I had even heard of the Skyline before you started talking about it. Of course, with all the different RTAs out there, it is hard to keep track. I agree about keeping up with the newest stuff. I don't care if it was made in 2020 or made back in 2015, I just want something that works and can be relied on.

A pipe on the terrace in the south of France sounds just heavenly.

I'm doing fine, thanks, but relaxing Sunday? I don't even remember the last time anyone here had a relaxing Sunday. This is such an unhappy time in our country; people are angry, confused, and scared. And with the presidential election fast approaching, things are only going to get worse before they, hopefully, get better. We're all bracing ourselves.
Yes I know that the situation is pretty chaotic. All you can do is listen to the health experts and take their advice.

Try not to watch the news and think or do something completely unconnected to all the stressful stuff.

Sending hugs

So it's considered a better version?
From what I hear there's a few changes to it. The chimney is lower and or bigger and the posts are offset slightly and made for bigger coils and a few other mild changes. The best person to speak to is @Robfisher about these tanks. He can give you the best advice. He has the most authentic tanks and a few custom made ones and uses it everyday all-day.
I can only tell you from research and not experience.

The only difference between the OG Dvarw MTL and the v2 are the sizes of the juice flow holes on the chimney sections.

..............v2 Dvarw chimney..................................OG chimney

I have both chimney types for the OG's and clones. I prefer the oval juice flow holes over the circular. IMO they offer better JF and wicking. The newer FL's all have the oval JF holes. KHW Mods recently added the PEEK round hole chimney in their online store for the MTL FL's. The OG DL always had the oval JF holes. :D
The oval juice slots is also now three instead of two.

Thanks. What do offset posts mean? I realize that might sound like a dumb question, but I'm too groggy this morning to care.

That's some beefy coil in this skinny atty. Or is my eyesight? ;)

Nice job, Resistance!
A recommendation from @Silver1 and it works great

Morning shiney's.

@Redbird when you have to install a coil transversely between two posts it's a good thing to have them offset due to the coil legs being a pain to bend and install.
With the offset posts coil legs can be shorter also because of the post position and less resistance in the coil legs and rather in the coil where it's needed.

Inline posts is better when the coil is installed to the side of the post.

I appreciate the explanation. I wish I understood any it. This is of course no fault of your own, but just due to my lack of experience. I just can't picture in my head what you are talking about.

I've seen good things about the Vandy Vape MTL coils. I keep meaning to add some to my cart when I order something but always seem to forget.
I used to make all my coil from plain SS for a long time. Then one day our local DIY store had two options left and I remembered the recommendation made on this wire. Took the plunge and now I am recommending it.
I have run it in parallel with SS wire as well for DL vaping.

Cool. I'll see what I can come up with to explain it better

I was interested in the premade coils, but the wire itself seems like a good product too from what I am reading.

Hey guys and gals!!

Back is killing me,another night sleeping in one of those reclining chairs...
not good.

Pops doing better but he still has to stay in the hospital for awhile.
Dialysis+Radiotherapy is not a good combo.

Got home an hour ago and placed my order for the Hellvape Destiny RTA,all black.
Spanish website so i should be getting it delivered tomorrow along with some 2 new chubby gorilla bottles.

Could use a hand thou, was thinking that since i spend so many hours at the hospital without doing squat i might give the whole DIY coil thing a try.

Was looking at videos of people using something like this:

https://www.amazon.es/Coiling-CW-20-Builder-Bobina-Winding/dp/B071YTTMWW/ref=sr_1_11?__mk_es_ES=ÅMÅŽÕÑ&dchild=1&keywords=herramienta+coils&qid=1595950210&sr=8-11

Guys got any info on good brand names for those coil jigs?
Would just need 2 of them so i can make 2.5mm/3.0mm.

Wire wise i think I'm starting with 26g kanthal, after much reading seems the right choice for a beginner like me.

Anyway,I'm off to cook myself a decent meal (hospital food sucks),small siesta then I'm off again to the hospital.

Miss you guys,take care y'all :)

I use this one (link from the Spanish site you posted) on Amazon. I have a coil winder, but for simple coils the rod is all you need to produce a perfect coil. It's all I use for my coils.

All I really know about the coils for an RTA deck is that some have legs that are going the same direction, and some have legs going opposite directions. Is some of that what you are referring to regarding posts?
