Here is what I've learned...

It is very apparent to me that each of you paid very close, and finite, attention to the greater details of the disco period of our lives while I obviously did not (for dang freakin' good reason{s}!).

It also dawns upon me that one or two of you were either open, or closeted, fans of this era of great annoyance (to me).

I do appreciate the input from each of you in refreshing my very hazy mind of a period of time that likely should have remained buried in the bowels of nothingness.

I shall forever remain in the stream(s) of music(s) not named disco.

PSS: Pigs, I sent your check this morning. It's on one of FT's speedy row boats. Should get there by the time your beard length reaches your knees, I think (hope).

I actually detest the disco era but it was what everyone was doing when I was 19ish and being the party animal I was I just joined in. Also I had gone to the trouble of obtaining the fake I.D so I needed to use it. Look back on it with distaste.

Truth be told i am not a fan of disco,yeah a couple of songs are ok and get me to start tapping my foot but apart from that yeah i am not a fan.

But on the other hand i do have to admit and bow down to true talent,when you hear things like this:



all you can do is marvel at the sight of someone who possesses true talent.

I was 20 in '85 and loving it. The music was great but I reckon a lot the clothes were a mixed bag. Big shoulder pads and ridiculous perms for women and even Robert Plant didn't look cool anymore
