Roos in the hood. They look pretty cuddly but don't be fooled

Those suburban roos fight like a girl . Stupid question, but can you call your version of Wildlife & Fisheries to come remove them, or are you just stuck until they leave?

Drip tip Vapemail, and a kiwi world record from FT of 10 days

I got these purely to broaden my horizons, and they were cheap. Despite them all being wider than my usual preference, I actually like using them all.

@Pigs, were they all in tune?

I mentioned in a pm to SMT and Charlie that I was lucky enough to get a job recording a local Indigenous women's choir down in the far South coast of NSW. Sung in their local language.
It was a challenging gig because we had to build a temporary recording studio on site in a local hall with equipment I brought from Sydney.

The Aboriginal Elders included us in a smoking ceremony on Monday night just outside the hall (right where the roos were standing in the photo I posted) where they smolder bunches of specially chosen local plants and sit around telling stories then sing in language to make sure the spirits of the Ancestors are on side. Basically getting rid of any dark or bad vibes. Iris was the Boss Lady.
It was kind of eerie and calm at the same time. Other worldy.

Just as we were finishing the ceremony (I kid you not) an almighty thunder storm broke out and the district got a torrential downpour that lasted through the night. Most rain they've had in years.
Next morning it was bright and sunny. Iris came up to me. Smiled a knowing smile. "See how clear the air is today? We're ready to sing now".

Went camping once with my sister down to the west of Sydney...forget the name but the roos were nice to see but I had a tug of war with one of them who'd tried to steal our bread...I was lucky he didn't kick me :D

I've had, like most of us I guess, a pretty turbulent 12 months with some major issues. Some days you just wake up and wonder if it's going to continue like this with no redeeming things to make up for a lost life of normality. Days roll into weeks roll into months and it's all the same when you're locked away working in the house.

Today was different. Today was special. Today made me remember vape meets and beer and laughs - and a sense of community again.

A random person on Twitter, I've no idea who, responded to my joke that he should sell me his RM Mods Pulse-G genny by asking for my address.

This arrived with the postman just now and I'm completely speechless and blown away.

To be honest apart from having a couple of dogs and seeing a couple of Boas in the boas in the The Ecuadorian Amazon (lived in Ecuador for some years,so i took a trip over to the Amazon with a guide) i don't really have any cool animal stories besides one that happened when i was 13 or 14.

Went out with my pops and my mom to ride our bikes,we went by where the local Circus was and there was a trainer walking with his chimpanzee.

We went by and the chimpanzee just pointed at me and looked at his trainer,he nodded and next thing you know i got the chimpanzee going towards me and i am pedaling faster since i don't know what he was up to.

Well he caught up with me and just jumped on the back of the bike and put his hands on my shoulders, seems the chimp only wanted to ride on the bike with me.

Was pretty funny, ride was like 15 minutes long until he just got off and went back to his trainer, gotta say that was one cool memory.

Only downside is that my new tracksuit jacket smelt like chimpanzee ....,had to wash that thing like 3 times to get the smell out :lol:
