I am sort of kidding or at least exaggerating. I just do not have the time to make everything so pristine. I take care of a whole house by myself for Pete's sake and four animals who always mess up the house

my pets are the least of my mess. I’ve gone entirely feral during lockdown. I have a different hobby strewn all over every room. I really need to finish some projects and tidy up before Georgia gets fed up with me and cleans it up herself!

Wish my Em would get fed up and clean!

Hey folks, I've run across something on FT I haven't seen before. I was finalizing an order and noticed one of my items is showing pre-order $3.96 4PCS Replacement Single Hole Airflow AFC Insert for Dvarw MTL FL 22mm RTA 4-pack - 1*0.8mm/1*1.0mm/1*1.5mm /1*2.0mm at FastTech - Free Shipping.

Normally, if they don't have something, they show an estimated number of days before it is in stock. On this one, no ETA is given. Has anyone else run across that?
Yes, means they don't know when the manufacturer will deliver. Could be a week to a few months. Pay for them separately so it doesn't hold up the rest of your order.

^^^this is so me. I try to blame the pets. Every once in a while, usually first thing in the morning, I am stunned at the mess everywhere. As I survey things, it is all me, projects everywhere. Messes not cleaned up, etc

Will do. I just don't think I have come across that before on FT. Thanks for the advice.

Great score there Buddy:thumb:
Did your original Swag cover fit on the new PX80 ok?

Thanks bud.

Yeah no the original cover is about a centimeter to high,it actually covered the whole airflow.
I just grabbed some scissors and made a cut and now it fits, not perfectly thou the fire button isn't perfectly aligned with the silicon counterpart but for now it will do.

Flavor wise i expected a bit more from these GTX coils,so far it has been meh.
Only tried the 0.2 thou, when the coil gets used i will try the 0.3 and see if it gets better.

Still miss my Jackaroo thou, the PX80 feels so tiny :lol:

Attempt number 4 building on the Dvarw went a lot better, but still not perfect. At 2.5mm and 4 loops, I got the resistance down to where I want it, but I had to reduce the wattage because it was running to hot. No leaking. At 40 watts the hits seemed dry, but when I turned it downed to 30, I got some flooding. I think I'm going to go with the higher amperage and higher wattage next time. I seemed to like that better. I'm still fine tuning the amount of wicking, but this time was pretty close.

If you get a flat wire fused clapton coil it will fit. Round wire fc would need to be hammered unless ultra fine wire is used. Pure pita and not worth it imo. I'm lazy and buy the flat ones.

I'll need your input as well Letitia - I had a look at AVS.
They've got 0.8mm x 0.2mm flat wire cheap, but no idea if that will trap. My 0.5mm x 0.2mm traps easily in my DL, so I'd say the larger width would in the DL FL.

And I think these two pre-coiled fused claptons should also:
10 Pack Fused Clapton Coils 316L SS 26gx2/36g
You will probably prefer this one, wattage wise.

10 Pack Fused Clapton Coils 316L SS 28gx2/40g

And @Robfisher 's video on how to wick a Dvarw using the Exocet method is well worth watching, and trying.

It was thanks to this video, that I learnt the most important thing when building the Dvarw. And no, it's not remembering the frickin cap  It's to VG the hell out of every o-ring in the chamber and chamber cap, every time you rewick

So I wrangled a 2.5 mm 5 wrap in the clone dvarw v3 using this wire.
Spooled Triple Core Parallel Fused Clapton 316L SS (28gx3 / 36g) or (3 - AVS
Had some flat wire fc shots (2 core, very thin) 4 or 5 wrap that were easier to load up than the tricore. Haven't used single wire in a dvarw that I can remember. Honestly love the vape but hate the deck so it gets washed and benched for months before I get bored enough to throw a build in it again. Have the clone fl dl but haven't played with it yet.

It seems they are sold out of that Clapton wire. Too bad, it sounds interesting.

Thanks. That was helpful. There wasn't a lack of lubes in my case. Everything was covered in juice from my previous failed attempts at builds. :w00t:

The fishing setups! White Dani 21700 battery pretty much lasts the whole day on the water with a refill or two. The Dani Mini is just a backup in case something happens to the Dani 21700!

THAT gives ME the shivers!!!! ... but then, I’m the one who dropped a mod in the saltwater bait well. On, the other hand I can attest that the GV Solo is impervious to salt water, and shrimp attacks

That last photo looks particularly promising for “catching”. Lots of good grassy cover at the bank. Lucky man, @Robfisher !
Let me guess...every time you drive on a bridge over a river or stream you nearly cause a car accident cause you can't help slowing down and scoping out the water.

Ok hands up who else loves fishing. We know @Robfisher does. We know @AngeNZ does. Who else eh??

Big time @Pigs! And it's worse when I go to the USA (especially Florida) because there is water EVERYWHERE!

@NolaMel we have had an abnormal amount of rain and the drought we have been suffering for the last few years is over. The dams are full and overflowing and there is a ton of flooded vegetation. The fishing is still a bit tough with the rising water but in a couple of weeks the fishing will be off the charts when our little green fish get used to the new water levels!
