Ok straw poll time:

For those of you who build your own setups (wind from spools or buy pre-wound coils but not drop -ins) roughly how long does each coil last you?

Do they last days/weeks/months ?

I've had some coils go for 6+ months but I vape RDA exclusively if that makes any difference. Less juicy/gunked up wicks I suppose and I change wicks every 1-3 days depending on what I'm vaping. Desserts can mess them up within hours.

28ga double/triple twisted 1-2mL a day. I dry burn in brief pulses. Just enough to drive off any remaining liquid and at least try not to let em get red hot. I notice they oxidize faster if you burn em in red every time you're re-wicking but maybe it's my imagination. Typical coil lasts 3-5 months, barring no stubborn wicks that deform the coil when pulling them out I usually only change them when they look covered in white oxidation or the resistance starts acting funny.

I used to change them just because I felt like it. Now I will put them through the marathon before they can retire:vapor:

Thank you  I'm paranoid about scratching the lens, since I got it in such amazing condition.

It goes into its camera bag and zipped up, as soon as I've whipped out the SD card. Otherwise a fluffybutt Lunatic thinks it's something new to play with

Javi sent me a wonderful gift, the Peacemaker by Squid. I sat down with it yesterday and put a coil on it. Came out to .32 Ohms. I am almost embarrassed to show my pics amongst all the pro photographers we have in this thread. But here they are. I ran a couple of tanks through it yesterday with nary a leak. Changed the cotton and took pics and am running a tank in it now. It is robust for a single coil. Thing is like a tank and I could probably hit someone over the head with it. But I won't ;). I will just enjoy it and hope for no leaks.

Is that a no and a cleverly disguised yes?

    Oh? Ok.

One moot. One mute. That's rather paradigmatic.

You two fine chaps have given me 2 points to ponder.
I must consult my paralegal and my paraleipsis.

Firstly, which one of you is Up and which one is Down?

    Parallactic?
I'm both down and up depending on the time of day...I'm somewhat ambidextrous so maybe that's it. However I always think that the mod should be looked at standing up. It certainly doesn't seem a problem to me...you can see on screen without any difficulty....the Mixx is far worse in that you have to look at the bottom all the time....gives me a crick in the neck :D
