Thanks for responding. I'm assuming their higher postage is for some faster shipping service and things will get here faster than a month. My last order from 3F had higher shipping than FT but came weeks earlier. I have something from FT that's been out a month and a week and it still isn't registering as in the States. :(
unfortunately not really...it's hit and miss but pretty much whenever ordering from china, be prepared to wait a month... no matter what they say or how much more you pay for shipping...it's still going to take time to get across the oceans/lands and then customs...which is why I never pay for "better" shipping because it really doesn't matter, it's a role of the dice...

    How much are we talking??

It really depends on what type of mod you desire:thumb:
My small one was $340 but that's a lipo battery. You can get 21700 mods mods made up, there cheaper(not sure prices)
If you're really interested PM me when convenient:)

FT used to be like that to Aus but for the last 12 months at least it's door to door in 7 to 10 days as long as you pay the $5 expedited shipping.

Don't you hate it when someone asks your opinion, and then go do the exact opposite...I know I do
Guess what....I just did that
    And I don't even know why :w00t:
I asked for suggestions about a ergonomic mod with a good TC little bit bigger than my Target mini. Got some solid advice, but then went and got something the same size as the Target mini...with no TC....something I don't really need
    IMG_20210423_113424.jpg

Maybe I just love a bargain...it was only $9.95 local...with free overnight shipping.
But the best laugh of all is I look around me at all this mods piling up, and it only then dawned on me....I DON'T NEED ANOTHER MOD
What I need is more tobaccos (for extraction) from the US. It's getting tougher to get that in here atm. The government is actively working towards making this country smoke free by 2025. I need a permit to import tobacco...together with paying tax and duties...but so far i'm just playing monkey see=monkey no do. I buy em and so far it arrives....without the dreaded customs email of confiscation.
Then again...i've always been that under the radar kinda guy
Ah and sorry for wasting your time...you know I do love you all aye

Have you tried different tracking sites? 17 Track doesn't translate into english every little scan. Package Radar gives you a bit more info:

Maybe people could send you a lot of lovely throw pillows with very interesting stuffing--which would have to be vacuum-sealed to throw off the sniffer dogs, I guess.

On 17 track, if you go down to the right hand bottom of the page, there is a box with word "English" beside it. Check that box and everything will be translated into English.

Coil cleaning: I dunno if I'm doing it right or not. How do you guys do it, if it's different to me?

    Me with flat wire:
pull cotton, warm rinse (still on mod, and still loving that I can), shake, pulse at 15 watts, rinse and scrub with toothbrush, rinse again, shake again, pulse again, turn mod off (hopefully), throw in cotton.

With claptons I also use a wire brush, before they get the toothbrush swipe

    You're doing it right.

With my ss316L claptons... pull wick, rinse coil, pulse mod at 15w while coil is wet, only letting it get to a rather dull orange, let it cool down and scrub with brush. I repeat that 2-3 times. Install a new wick. Done.

Woohoo! That Package Radar is something else! Assuming it's accurate, my package did arrive in the States and departed California two days ago! You are a vape PI! :headbang:

Uhoh. Now I feel somewhat more secure with that $300 Healthcabin order.

After removing wick I rinse (including top cap and DT), dry burn, scrub with brush, dry burn and rise once more. Leave to cool and re-wick.

So rinsing with water and then dry burning doesn't mess with the coil? I use the superfine MTL SS claptons mostly and am always wary of messing with them too much. I normally just brush it a few times after a couple of pulses.

REO mini with blue door. The paint has some sort of 3D
silver glitter that pulses and sparkles as it catches the light. I wish a photo would capture it.
    Bludger looks pretty happy.

Rinsing doesn't mess with the coil. The way I see it, dry burning flakes up any gunk between the cracks that brushes don't get to then rinsing gets rid of those. I think the main thing is not to dry burn at too high a temp. Just enough to glow it.

I'd want to keep it at really low watt probably for my coils then. I'm thinking 5-7 watts after rinsing.

I was lucky enough to get three REOs when they had their closing down sale a couple of years ago.
The mini 2.1 LP (in the photo), a REO Grand LP and a REO P67. Lots of spares and and different colour doors. The prices were fire sale - the mini was $40 and the other two were around $120, all brand new.
It was sad to see such an iconic mod maker close it's doors.
Nearly indestructible and built out of aircraft grade aluminium (except the Woodvilles - made of wood)

Not sure if they were the first squonk mods ever but probably the most famous from that era.
Lots of the early adopters/vaping vets have them.

@Robfisher did a series on youtube called Rob's REOs that taught me a lot about how to care for them and clean the contacts to get the best vape. Great info for a REO newbie like me.

    Here's one from 2015:

As long as it's hot enough to lift the gunk off. With my 2*28/36 Ni80 fused claptons I dry burn at around 10-12W. For bigger Aliens I go a bit hotter so it depends on the wire gauges.
