Hey
@ShowMeTwice any chance you could post a photo of your pref build on the KFL?
I know that maybe this isn't the ideal thread for it but since mine is a clone I don't feel cool posting on the Kayfun thread. Thanks!
Good call. Only reason it's like that in the authentic Kayfun threads is because years back there were auth vs clone wars that got pretty nasty. That got old quick. The authentic Kayfun threads were then created, in the now defunct HHV sub, in order to resolve the issue. Bronze, Vapdivrr and a few others kept those threads clone free. Clone folks were then free to create their own threads in the main forum. Problems solved.
IMO it was all pretty dumb, but, much in life is.
I would still post your questions in the KFL19/21 thread. Just don't mention the wee minor detail (clone) and no one will ever know the difference.
One of my SvM KFL19's...
I prefer a 26/36 SS316L clapton in my KFL19's. This one is 7 wraps / 2.5mm ID and is 0.55Ω. Just an FYI, my airflow is wide open, so I can MTL and RDL. I do switch it up and pop in an N80 alien from time to time but much prefer 316L so I can vape simple wattage mode or TC/TCR.

SS316L 26/36 clapton.

Coil raised ~1.5mm above the AF.
My last 2 wicks were rayon, so switching to Mavaton's cotton.

I 1/2 bow tie the wick before trim, making sure the amount I'm going to trim is even on both sides.

Cut even with top of coil. On the tails I remove nearly 50% of either the cotton or rayon.

Wick tucked in and juiced up. Most important thing with that pic is the wick shoulders are off the AF block. No juice can ever get into the AF with the looped space I create there. I setup every RTA with a similar deck the same.
ETA: All the modern Kayfun's (all K5's, KM3, Prime and KFL19/21's) have the same style of deck. Same kind of wicking can be used in all with great success.
