Hey shiny folks, I figure since you know quite a bit about RTAs, RDAs, etc, you might be able to help troubleshoot something for me.
This morning one of my Dvarws started acting up. I would take a puff and then the Aegis Solo would have the screen come up that says "new or old" coil. Like the ohms were resetting or something. I switched to another mod, but same thing. So I figured that the coil got messed up or shorted or something.
I go to put in a new coil and it should have read right around 1.0 ohms. But on the Coilmaster ohm reader it kept going up and down. I'm talking like 1.0 to 1.5 to 1.7 and everything in between. The coil is screwed in nice and tight, but the ohm readings are all over the place.
So does anyone know what the hell might be going on? I've never had this happen before?

I haven't gotten the dvarw yet that I ordered but the first thing that comes to mind is a loose post in the deck. Does the center pin on the bottom have a slot so you can tighten or loosen? If so, see if you can tighten it a little but don't turn too hard or it will snap.
Do you mean the pin that connects with the mod? If so, then yes it has a little screw thingy that fits an Allen Key.

Yes, that's the 510 pin. Did Hitt's suggestion work for you?
If not... take the tank off the deck, remove your wick, you will see 2 hex screws on the sides of the posts (not your coil screws), are those tight? If not tighten them. They don't need to be gorilla tight, you know that. If they were loose, put it back together and retry.
If that didn't work then remove those two hex screws. The deck will come apart, look at the bottom section, where you previously tried tightening (per Hitt's instruction).
Remove that 510 hex screw (on the bottom).
There is a cream colored insulator which that hex 510 screw fits into. Pull it out and inspect it. You may need to use a tiny flat blade screwdriver to remove it. Or it may freely slide out.
Is that cream colored insulator cracked or otherwise hosed up? You will know, it will be obvious. If so, replace it, that is, if you ordered spare ones way back when.
If that insulator is ok then look on the other side of the same bottom piece. You will see a black, or cream colored, oblong insulator there. Pull it out and have a look. If it's hosed replace it.
If the insulators are ok, or you needed to replace one, put it back together and try it again on one of your mods.

Oh @ShowMeTwice, do you happen to know if the insulators for the older Coppervape MTL Dvarw fit with the newer FL? I bought a couple extra CV insulator kits from FT several months back.
