checking in to see what the Shiny folks are up to. I have joined another forum and am spending all my time in there. Cat health, specifically Diabetes. After a rough couple of months my guy Joe was finally given a diagnosis of diabetes. 3 blood tests in 2 months and it never showed. Then it did show and showed BIG. 560 was the number and it is supposed to be under 200. He has lost so much weight. I immediately started him on insulin injections. 1 unit for a week, no change 2 units for another week, no change, up to 3 units and still no change. Joined the other forum and got to talking and almost no one approves of the insulin he was started on. Friday night, changed insulin. I have to learn how to check his glucose numbers at him and he cries. Not a happy time for me.

Couldn't resist a Scutum for less than $100 delivered. I am really curious if they let out some with the infamous name. SourceMore had it the other morning on sale/pre-order then by the time I got to work it was gone. Back again so I bought one.
I used LV dna mods for a few years and swore I would never go back after 4 failures. One was a board fixed under warranty and the other 3 were button frame breaks. I just put them in a shoe box in case I ever have the need to remove the boards.
New board, 21700, usb C and element proof made be take a chance. Sounds like a good hiking or fly fishing mod.
I will report after it comes which I will be lucky if it is 2 months or less.
Go Scutum team :thumb:

Sorry to hear about Joe. I am pulling for both of you and hope you get an answer/plan.
My three cats are getting older and I understand how close one can get with their pets.

I'm so sorry, Sue. Poor Joe. I hate to think of him crying.

May the insulin start working its wonders soon.

Yaye for me! My Abyss accessories are ready to ship at FT. So I got two SBS kits, the glass kit and a square button. Now I just need a sympathetic rower to brave the Pacific Ocean in his dingy.

And now I’m seriously contemplating a Tidal Abyss because MyVPro is having a 15% Off coupon which is only good until this weekend.  Honestly, I’m not super impressed yet with the Ether RBA, but it could be my coil and wicking. But with the SBS kit(s) I’ll be able to use all my cool tanks. :thumb:

Poor, sweet Joe! He’s gotten so thin. I hope the people on the forum can help you figure out how to get it under control. Give him some extra cuddles from me, and a big ol,hug for you.

I wonder if the square button sticks out any further? That would be nice.

Sending lots of love Sue. Joe is a legend. If anyone can help him get on his feet and back to good health it will be you.

I was looking for a different drip tip for the Boxx and didn’t really love any of my 510 tips. I might dig through FT and get some new ones. I wanted something a little longer to get my mouth away from the mod.
You know there's a 510 connector in the box right??

Ah Charlie...I feel for you mate
I thought you were completely on the mend. What do you mean by recurring infections? What gets infected?
Antibiotics can be such a 'neccesary evil'.
I don't know what i'm going to do if I need it again someday. Antibiotics targets bad microbes, but kills indiscriminately those that our bodies need also.
It's constant lung infections and yes I hate taking antibiotics for that reason. Increasingly science is finding more and more info about specifics concerning your gut biome and they make up around 70% of your immune system. I take probiotics twice a day and have learned also that different types of antibiotics kill less or more of your good bacteria....so at least there's that....

I heard the coil popping in my shirt pocket, lucky the 10 second cut off was working.:)

That happened with my Wasp Nano RTA and i had no 10 second cut off.
Was lucky i did realise but just a tad late...i had burned the proprietary cap/drip tip, well not like burned burned more like it melted and then when i took the top off the guides (so you can screw the cap) were melted inside the outer ridges so yeah...had to spend an hour with cutter trying the get the tiny bits of plastic out.
