I do have several of the smaller ones. They're a bit small for my liking. Something more substantial will suit me better. I'm thinking i can drill a hole in a wooden block and recess one of the smaller ones in there. Glue it in and dolly the block up some...Morning Shinies
@Fredman1 why not get yourself a nice wooden block and drill it out to hold several atties or even an alloy block?? There are some nice packs of single atty stands on FT which I use but they're no bigger than the one in your pic....why do you need something bigger. Overhang??
Have a good one![]()

I worked with them as a naive young assistant (recording) engineer in London in 1987.
I was their "homey" after about 12 hours on the first day. Never had experience with New York hip hop artists before and took me a while to translate the lingo. Lots of thick gold chains, lots of pretty young Wilsden girls and lots of...um other stuff. Fairlight III was the sampler they used. Work days started at around 2pm and finished around 6am.
This is probably one of my favourite rap tunes....when rap actually had syncapation....These guys. I misspelt it.

Yes Fairlight CMI were an Australian company. They released the Fairlight I sampler in the late 70s and by the mid 80s they were up to Fairlight III. Seriously big devices back then - think 2x microwave ovens. Amazing in their time though and along with EMU labs, Akai, Ensoniq and Synclavier revolutionised music recording.Wow that's amazing!! I use an old Aegis. Water proof and sturdyAh now I get what you mean. I don't need an atty stand for storing. I need something bigger for when I rebuild coils....to put the deck on to. This wee ones works ok, but bigger will be better.
What do you use when you rebuild?

Talking about atty stands. I've been wanting to buy a proper one for ages. Don't really know where to look. Not necessary a high end expensive one. Just something simple but bigger than this...

I use a mini tab coil master for building. It is a nice size for holding in hand, and small and flat so you don't have to worry about things escaping from the counter to the floor.Ah now I get what you mean.
