Noooooo. I just can’t see anything competing with the Dicodes or the College for me. They’re the perfect mix of performance and handfeel. SBS is perfect for a Brunhilde. Keeps it from sitting too high and top heavy. I’d buy a dozen if I could. But I shouldn’t, cause I neeeeeeed NOTHING. The “wants” get me sometimes though
I love my College's. They're my favorite SbS mod. I like the Dicodes mini and SbS mods. Each time I was about to buy one, in the cart, I backed out. Still would like one of each, but no. Want? Yes and yes. Need? NO!

1.8mm with the grub screw not tightened down (installed but barely screwed in). That’s how I run mine, wide open.

1.8mm without the grub screw installed. I know a few who run theirs that way without any problems.
Thanks, SMT. I, too, run mine that way; I just didn't know what kind of airflow that yielded. I'm finding the two-hole insert for the MTL Dvarw FL that supposedly amounts to 1.7mm to be a little tight but like the draw on the KFL19 sans screw, so I was wondering how the two compared. I have a hard time believing that .1mm would make such a noticeable difference, so I'm inclined to think that my Dvarw wicking is at fault.

I've never understood the Honeymoon phase thing with folks and vape gear.

I must be strange cuz I know right from the get go if something is good or not. Already know what setups... coils, and heights, work best for me in any RTA. For me, this is not rocket science. :)

When I got married, I didn't think, well lets try this one for a month or so. Don't like her, put the wife in the junk wife drawer, get a new one.

Zaz, I think it comes down to differences in deck and airflow design. The KFL19 and Dvarw are very different in that regard. We really can't do a true 1:1 comparison of airflow between the two.

With the default 1.2mm AF inserts installed on my OG and FL MTL Dvarw's I did note a tighter draw compared to my Kayfun Prime's at the 1.2mm AF setting. I'm running much more open AF inserts in all my Dvarw's.

Are you planning on installing the next larger AF insert on your Dvarw?

And no, that song isn't my relationship anthem. I know what kind and type of women, ummm, work out best for me. I will refrain from disclosing the specifics, unless asked. ;) :D

Honeymoon phase is simply what I call it - when you have a new RTA or mod that you love, and because of that you aren't seeing any potential flaws.

And I wish I knew what build works best for me, for each new RTA. But I like experimenting and I'm still very much in the learning stage

Which raises the question. Whose 1.2mm AF is a true 1.2mm AF?

    Might not be either. :pervy:

    Yep.

I'm happy with the draw on the Dvarw v2 that's in the rotation right now, and I'm pretty sure I used the 2mm insert in it, so I don't know why I didn't go with a 2mm in the FL in the first place.

I would not presume to inquire. None of my business, son.

Yeah that's exactly how I figured you.
Been thinking of you lately mate...don't know why as it's not my business, but that off the grid escape place you visit with the horses, dogs and wolves keeps popping up in my head. That'll suit me just fine ;)
Are you still considering the offer to settle there?:p

wow. Friday night here, so Saturday in China and just got a shipping confirmation for the Brunhilde. A couple of weeks based on past experience.

Any big hints for me which aren't covered in the owners manual, assuming it comes with one?

Not sure. It's something we've talked about on and off. I do love being surrounded by nature, always have, it feels like home to me. But I also like my home here in the city and the conveniences. For now doing extended trips up there works well. I kinda like my current quasi-nomad lifestyle. And who knows what my future holds. One thing I know for certain, whatever it is, however it turns out, I will make the best of it. :D

Here is what worked well for me...

It comes with 6 airflow inserts. Those screw into the build deck. Try them out and find the one that suits you best before you coil and wick your Brunhilde. If you don't, then you will end up having to remove your build to swap them.

Wicking is easy, I cut my tails right to the edge of the deck and lay them down onto the stainless steel wires. Juice up the wick like you would with any other RTA. Fill the tank and vape away. I switch off between using cotton and rayon with my Brunhilde. It vapes nicely with either one. With the Brunhilde I don't trim any off the tails with cotton or rayon.

When you need to rewick and dry burn your coil vape your juice down to about a 1/4 tank or less juice. That will make the job easier without spilling juice.
